with AI how can it not push more people into non-office jobs - is this a good or a bad thing? suspect for every person who has more job opportunity with AI two will get pushed to sectors "shielded" from AI like medical, construction, childcare etc.
Macron approval is terrible. People are sick of politics but their class consciousness is at regressed stages.

If this were happening in the streets of Moscow, Beijing or Tehran, there would be wall to wall, 24/7 news coverage, and the talking heads of the capitalist press would be calling for the leaders to step down. The media would pick a colour, and call it a "revolution."
Thankfully many such cases - but not nearly many enough.

Personal news. For the past few months my friend @darrikonn and I have been working on a side project called SnapHost.
It started with a problem we had ourselves. We were making more and more reports and presentations with AI and kept looking for an easier way to share them.

We've been working on this for a while and I'm super excited to finally share it! MaPC lets you play your Windows PC games natively on Apple Silicon Macs, no Wine setup. The free public beta is out now.

Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The author later confirmed it is in fact not native and is just another Wine wrapper.

triptojapan left @vercel - today - vinext on @CloudflareDev FTW
~$1,470/mo → ~$200-300/mo
vercel was getting insane: build minutes ($1.3k since July), bandwidth ($1.1k), CDN requests ($0.9k)
taking advantage of the new worker cache header feature for CDN hosting on static and semi-static pages
most annoying thing about clankers now: strong bias for backwards compatibility when refactoring - keeps legacy code around, wants to break things up into multiple PR's for no reason

yet another dismissive article of digger which predictably omits the crucial detail that this is exactly what the movie is fucking about
sql migration should have
- migration plans with expand.sql / contract.sql split
- easy re-parenting migration plans when origin/main moves
- prod-to-main drift detection
- diff based drafting w/ persisted agent decisions survive reparenting
all part of onwardpg.solberg.is
if you are a usenet enjoyer but don't want to fiddle with nzbget+radarr+sonarr run this prompt: "check out jokull/udl on github, configure it and remove anything it replaces - connect to plex media server, import media etc." - it is super cli-therefore-agent-friendly to operate

Elektrische Traktoren. Das ginge angeblich nicht.
Hier ein neues Model mit einer 200 kWh Batterie. Die Batterie kann auch gewechselt (swapping) werden.
Der Trecker wurde von Anfang an als E-Trecker konzipiert.
Fazit: Es geht schon wenn man wirklich will.

The reason is a debt that France cannot backstop on its own.
France is getting downgraded by every major rating agency at once, and the reason is a deficit it cannot control.
France has blown through the EU's 3% deficit limit every year for the better part of a decade. It hit 9% of GDP in 2020 and still runs around 5.5%, and the government's big new plan is to get the deficit down to 5% by 2027. They are calling that progress.
All five agencies, Fitch, Moody's, S&P Global, DBRS and Scope, have cut France, several of them below AA for the first time in modern history. When a core economy treats a 5% deficit as an achievement, the bond market stops giving it the benefit of the doubt. France is the test case for every government that runs deficits forever.
