I'm going to be one of those people for a while and just delete Twitter. Maybe just for a while, maybe not. But lately I'm just feeling like the cons outweigh the pros for me.
Not sure why I'm documenting this like I'm anyone who's even vaguely important on here lol but sure. Maybe someone will read it and relate.
Anyway I'm off ✌️
Yes, I did just start reading Digital Minimalism tonight, so that's at play. But I also bought that book in the first place because I'm sick of faffing my time away on this app lol

That is exactly what’s happening.
We are being crybullied into a police state by our rulers who are posing as victims because they’re being held to account for supporting mass murder.

Just today, we've had a former PM saying Britain is now being run by a secretive Deep State, & a former Home Secretary saying Britain is now run by 'Islamists and the far left.'
Both are still MPs for the Conservative Party, which has actually been running Britain for 14 years.

The last moments of 6 year old Hind Rajab.
Trapped in a car with the bloodied corpses of her 6 relatives, menaced by an Israeli tank, scared of the dark.
Desperately hoping for an ambulance to come to her.
It did: and then the Israeli army blew it up and killed the paramedics.
A new audio recording of the child Hind documents the moments of horror she experienced while trapped alone amidst the Israeli tanks and the dead bodies of her relatives who were killed by Israeli soldiers around her. Hind was also killed alone as the occupation first bombed the ambulance that was heading to rescue her, just a few meters away from her, resulting in the killing of the PRCS paramedics Yusef Al-Zaino and Ahmed Al-Madhoun.
🙏Justice for Hind, Yousef, and Ahmad.

A powerful, depressing, infuriating, #mustread op-ed from my friend Dr Irfan Galaria, who just returned from Gaza: latimes.com/opinion/story/20…
Just saw a kid standing out in the rain with a bass, completely uncovered and exposed to the elements. As someone used two bin bags as a case for several months, I feel a mix of anger and sympathy.
'Computer, please burn half an acre of rainforest to generate some incoherent slop that will only ever be viewed by me this one and only time.'
Sounds cooooooool

Yes, absolutely. I've always said the worst part of movies is that they're shared experiences and cultural touchstones everyone can relate to, discuss and dissect.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Generative AI is a pandoras box that will poison the well of knowledge from which our culture drinks. It has nothing to do with AI, it's just industrial scale pollution of our knowledge base.
