Without our beloved judges, the Honey Badgers, there would be no Cypher Tank. 🦡
As VCs, investors and entrepreneurs, they bring deep expertise, laser-focused vision and a truly low-time-preference mindset to the Tank.
Their judgment will be uncompromising yet principled. This year, the founders will need to sharpen their negotiation skills, defend their vision and convince the Honey Badgers one more time.
Will they succeed?
There’s only one way to find out. Join us at the end of October for the live recordings at pow.space., the link for the ticket is here: planbweek.com/golden-ticket 👀

AI is changing how Bitcoin software gets built.
Bitcoin Commons (@BTCCommons) and Plebly (@JoinPlebly) are leaning into that rather than pretending it is not happening.
The risk with AI-generated code is not obvious errors. It is subtle behavioral changes that pass code review but introduce vulnerabilities or alter consensus rules in ways no one catches until it is too late. Standard review is not equipped for that.
So we built BTCDecoded Intelligence, a research and review tool trained specifically on Bitcoin's protocol history, governance record, and codebase. It gives us automated review tuned to the actual failure modes of Bitcoin software rather than software in general.

WE’RE IN THE TANK. 🦡⚡
Plebly has been selected as a CypherTank 2026 finalist!
One of 8 finalists selected from 172 applications across 30+ countries.
We built Plebly around a simple idea:
Bitcoin fixed incentives for money.
We’re applying the same thinking to funding open-source development.
Now we get to take that idea into the Tank.
Thank you @cypher_tank, @mir_btc, @giacomozucco and the Plan ₿ team for selecting us.
See you in Lugano. 🦡⚡

Cypher Tank has selected 8 finalists from 175 applications. But the Tank isn’t full yet. 👀
10 applicants will compete for 2 direct spots: one for a for-profit project and one for a non-profit project.
Thanks to an idea and the support of the Fondazione Lugano Plan ₿, an all-Italian semifinal will put the spotlight on the potential impact of these projects on Lugano’s Bitcoin ecosystem 🇮🇹🇨🇭
Who will earn their place in the finale?
Semifinalists, we’re waiting for you. As always, maximum respect. 🫡

My life's work is parallel construction against centralization. Not reforming the systems that exist. Not working within them. Building the alternatives that make them irrelevant.
A second Bitcoin implementation built from a formal spec, so no single team owns the rules. A mining pool that is truly decentralized. A funding layer that can't be captured by the people it's meant to route around. None of it asks anyone's permission, which is the entire point.
People have called this a death wish. Centralized power doesn't tolerate working alternatives. It never has. When something proves the centralized version was never necessary, the people running it come after the thing that proved it.
I'd rather be first through the door than safe behind it. If you've figured out you don't need permission either, I'm easy to find.
These are ready or will be soon..

“Simon Gerovich and Dylan Leclair are grifters. Plain and simple.
They didn't make millions of dollars because they made some equivalent amount for shareholders; quite the contrary. Shareholders lost an enormous amount of money. They didn't make Millions of dollars because they are smart. No.
They made millions because they took advantage of a rare corporate pay package setup for a hotel chain in Japan, diluted the hell out of common shareholders, and promoted their stock everywhere they went.”
Great Bitcoin work shouldn’t depend on who you know or who controls the funding.
Plebly connects capital with the builders doing the work, transparently, on-chain, and non-custodially.
Fund what matters. Build what lasts. 🟣

Not every Bitcoin contribution comes from an individual.
Many of the biggest projects are built by teams.
Plebly now supports that. 🧵

Plebly is becoming something much bigger than a platform for funding Bitcoin projects.
We’re building an endowment for Bitcoin development.
