Former Browns OC Todd Haley revisits his bold 2018 draft plan, revealing he wanted Cleveland to take Saquon Barkley at No. 1 and Josh Allen at No. 4, believing the two stars could have changed the franchise’s trajectory.
"We're talking Jenga here. The first Jenga piece was we had the first and fourth pick in that draft. We visited with everybody. All the quarterbacks, which was obviously what we needed. We didn't have a quarterback on the roster. I was asked daily what I would do by ownership, by everybody. I said, 'Easy, simple: Take Saquon Barkley #1. Take Josh Allen #4.' Easy in hindsight to say. It would've been something special. I mean, Cleveland's a mess, generally. I get it. This is not an indictment on Denzel Ward or Baker Mayfield, but I think things would have looked a lot different if you had Saquon and Josh Allen on the same roster."

The only trade Ryan Poles has made that hasn’t flopped is the one for Caleb Williams. And I think it’s still a little too early to make a judgment on his career.
#Bears DE Montez Sweat will forfeit $2.3M of 2026 salary per his 2-game suspension for violating the league's PED policy.
Additionally, the $12.7M remaining on Sweat's 2026 salary is now unsecured, as the PED suspension voided all future guarantees.
Sweat is due a non-guaranteed $21M in 2027.
I think all of his trades were just splashy. That’s it. They make headlines at the time. But two years later, it seems like Bears fans learn why that player was available in the first place.
I want Atlanta to win with the WNBA Finals so Angel Reese can have one more title than Caitlyn Clark. Not because I hate Caitlyn Clark, but because I love being right. I said years ago, Clark would be the better player but Reese would have more championships.
