Was anyone going to tell me Emmanuel Lubezki shot DIGGER on VistaVision? What the hell have I been doing all month? Is there an 8am showing anywhere?
Photographers: DIGGER was shot on VistaVision. That's 35mm film running sideways through the camera, 8 perforations a frame, roughly twice the image area of standard 35mm. The camera design is from 1954. The lenses are Leitz.
Behind it is Emmanuel Lubezki, who won three Oscars in a row.

This property tax discourse pops up every few months on here and I’m willing to bet that 90% of the confusion is caused by the fact that property tax is paid semiannually by the escrow company and charged monthly on the mortgage statement
Like if you’d been paying it separately for 30 years I imagine unless you have “taxation is theft” in bio you’d be like “hmm well this is still a lot of money but at least I’m done paying interest on my loan to a completely separate entity that doesn’t maintain roads and schools”
