City)

Whether its possible or not I don’t care. Peacock and Rugari NEEED to be on P+ coverage
🗣️ ‘If Victory start the season having lost the Australia Cup final, lost Matchweek 1 and then lost the derby, that's a big hole for a new coach to dig out of.’ There was a lot of worry for Melbourne Victory on the first episode of Total A-Leagues... 👀 The full show 👇

Really good to see Sasa Ognenovski get his coaching chance. Can imagine him getting back to Asia and a big role. While from Melbourne, he knows the Brisbane cultural need. Pity @brisbaneroar lack the imagination to give someone like him a go @aleaguemen

Disappointing to say the least to see McNicol with @MelbourneCity and really eating it up. Mac Freak also in goals. So are we going to be impressed @brisbaneroar ?

This is a horrible look for a club… if the report was 100% wrong, I could understand it but he’s just doing his job? Do better and you won’t have negative stories

The A-League is desperate for media coverage. So the Jets ban a journo who has covered them in depth for years. Another misstep, another eg of ego ruling common sense. Another attempt to control the msg via intimidation. Pathetic @NewcastleJetsFC -overturn this now APL!!

Petty ham-fisted amateurism from the club.

Sad to hear. @JamesGardiner42 was always a pleasure to work with while I was Media Manager at the club. Sometimes he reported things I hoped wouldn’t become public, but that’s his job + he always gave me a heads up. No one has, or will, give the club as much coverage as him

What a PR disaster for @NewcastleJetsFC on the eve of a new season. Whoever sanctioned this needs to sit out a few games to cool their jets. Media management at its absolute worst.

FA’s Heather Garriock ‘absolutely not’ & APL’s Steve Rosich ‘our focus is on the health & growth of 13 franchises’ hosing down discussion of a Pro/Rel ecosystem. Well, @SMFC smashed the door down, and licenses will expire soon enough. How about a campaign slogan ‘absolutely yes’

Props to @andrewvoerman for having the guts to ask Sam Cosgrove and @fc_auckland an entirely reasonable question about his suspension. And to all the fans criticising Andrew for doing his job… you’re always the first to complain when mainstream media fails to cover @aleaguemen.

Asked about pro/rel FA dpty CEO Garriock said it won't happen soon. But if APL members can imagine they weren't the owners of Aleague clubs - and that it would be more profitable not to be... They could transfer their investment to an equitable share of the APL ... @aleaguemen

They have been poor through out the cup. I would kindly refer to it as workman like....not what we expect from the vuck but, look at the league it is a complete shadow of what it once was not even close. But there is no media to hold the administration to account, so who cares

True. A-League player quality is going down the gutter. Most clubs can’t even fill their foreign player quotas. Developing youngsters & selling them for profit is survival strategy. Winning is secondary. Cashing in is the priority. Survival > success. Sad times.

A lot of people saying this wasn’t a good game. As a neutral I thoroughly enjoyed the match from kickoff. You have two teams at different stages of match conditioning - but the match was just an average game that had an exciting extra time period. Well done to both teams on a magical night! #AustraliaCup #MagicOfTheCup
