Nobody should be forced to pay into Social Security, but Boomers complaining about getting their fair share is ridiculous. Where the hell do you think the money went, Edith? It funded the last 40+ years of government bailouts and subsidies your generation received.

Inject this into my veins
It’s not about the zoo tickets, it’s that at some point I looked up from my paycheck and realized OH, cool, I’m apparently funding the welfare state, Big Pharma, foreign countries, “Learing Centers,” government programs I’ve never heard of, Planned Fucking Parenthood, and seventeen layers of bureaucracy whose primary function appears to be emailing each other PDFs; meanwhile, I pay taxes when I earn money, taxes when I spend money, taxes to employ people, taxes on property I ALREADY OWN, taxes go up every year anyway, the school district discovers another $75,000,000 it absolutely cannot survive without, and if I so much as raise my hand and ask whether maybe, possibly, perhaps somebody could spend slightly less money, I am informed that I hate teachers, children, puppies and probably literacy, and NOW after financing civilization itself I’m also supposed to smile and subsidize someone’s trip to see the giraffes. Know what I mean?

I wire a Honda Accord to the gaping maw of the federal government every 3 months and then am forced to see evidence of it being squandered everywhere I look. Something has got to change and more tax revenue isn't going to fix it. We somehow have eleventy million dollars for transfer payments and war, and I am always asked (forced) to pay more. Last week, I got stuck behind a lady at Kroger who, after getting well over $300 of free groceries, proceeded to throw a 15 minute fit about having to pay the $23 dollars left for her popsicles and candy. She wasn't unfit for work, and did NOT need supplemental nutrition. The level of entitlement and waste is unparalleled and unsustainable. “The Earth is littered with the ruins of empires that once belived they were eternal.”

This guy’s getting cooked for being out of touch, and people are acting like it’s an indictment of him instead of a sickened culture around dating. I did most of these things for my now wife (together for 15 years), minus the yoga, and it ended up being a great filter.
Attention Young Men: I am surrounded by 20 year old girls in my life that are smart, capable, hard working and cute. Nobody is dating them. Not sure what the deal is, but I don’t get it. Step 1: Stop playing video games Step 2: Head to great clips and get that lettuce cleaned up Step 3: Hit a shower (when dating hygiene is critical) Step 4: Go clean your car Step 5: Sign up for a yoga class Step 6: Go to the yoga class Step 7: Ask a cute for her phone number at yoga class (yes you can meet girls IRL and not just on the apps - 10/10 the Dirt Dog highly recommends) Step 8: Follow up within 2 days with a phone call and ask them out for this coming weekend Friday or Saturday night. Step 9: IMPORTANT - come up with a good game plane for date night. Get a dinner reservation, get an activity planned. Let them know in advance what you are doing so they can dress appropriately. I know you are gunna roll off the couch and head to date night, but they are not. They are going to stress about what to wear and call at least 6 different people on FaceTime to ask their opinion. Step 10: I highly recommend you bring flowers to the door step. I’m not covering that you go to the doorstep, because if you don’t do that you have no hope here. Women want men to date them. You don’t need to break the bank on flowers. Head to Trader Joe’s. Grab 2 different kinds of flowers. If you don’t know what matches find the closest looking lady to your mom at TJ’s and ask her. Wrap the 2 flowers into 1 bouquet with paper. Bonus Points you can cut open a TJ bag and use that as the paper. Step 11: Be a gentleman on the date. She isn’t there to hear your life story. Ask her about her. For every 1 question you answer, ask her 3. Open Doors, pay for the meal, be polite. Provided you follow most of this guideline you are highly likely to get yourself an opportunity for date number 2. Keep going until you find someone that you can’t imagine not being around all the time. That’s when you have found a good one for you. My life is complete with my wife as my companion. I wish you the same fortune in life. Happy Hunting.

There's a new street drug on the market called "allergies". All of the brain damage and none of the fun. 0/10 would recommend.

In the coming years, it will become even more apparent that it was always most important that we were American nationals first and citizens second. Our current lack of shared identity reduces us to a collection of tribes bound together only by a state function, which is insufficient to create the dynamism synonymous with the USA for over a century.

Yeah, the American Dream is so dead that a complete idiot who just became a citizen 8 years ago can become mayor of our most iconic city. Like what are we doing here Theo?
Theo Von: “Do you think the American Dream is still alive?” Zohran Mamdani: “It feels like you have to luck out in some big way. In many ways I feel like it’s why a lot of people play the lottery. For many it feels like their only chance. People think they have better odds playing the lottery than making it in their own life. What does that say about the country we live in?”

Fuck it, why not? What’s another trilly to the >$40T national debt? Here’s your daily reminder that there is no end to the grift and no politicians are coming to save you.
If Republicans win the House of Representatives and the Senate in the 2026 Midterm Elections, I’m going to give all adult citizens in the United States of America, $5,000! Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I look forward to signing those checks!

This $5,000 “Trump Dividend” promise was first made in Sept. 2026. Similar prior DOGE and tariff check pledges have not been paid out. It would cost ~$1.2 trillion and require congressional approval. pbs.org/newshour/polit… washingtonpost.com/politics/2026/…

Until this model actually works inside of Google’s ecosystem with its own products, any celebration about what this model can do is a technical circle jerk. I shouldn’t have to be importing Excel files I made with Claude into GSheets
Very excited to announce Gemini 4 Argon, our new Frontier AI model, and a huge step forward across key capabilities. We’re focused on rolling it out responsibly starting with government and trusted cyber defenders through our Fairwind Program today, before wider availability soon

This is what Grok told me our future could look like in 1000 years based on my tweets if only I were emperor. Just some food for thought.

Power selects for a specific personality type, and it is not yours. F.A. Hayek spelled this out in 1944. In a centrally planned system, the people who rise are not the most competent or the most honest. They are the most willing to exercise force against strangers, the most comfortable with contradiction, and the most skilled at coalition-building through favors rather than merit. Government filters for the bad ones from the start. The mechanism is straightforward. Political power means controlling resources you did not earn. Capturing that control requires outcompeting rivals who have no ethical constraints. A principled candidate refuses to promise contradictory things to different voter blocs. An unprincipled one does it without blinking. The unprincipled one wins. Repeat this selection pressure across hundreds of electoral cycles and you get the U.S. Congress in 2026: a body where the average member has held office for over a decade, raised millions from interested parties, and delivered almost nothing measurable to the people who voted for them. Bureaucracy compounds the problem. Once entrenched, state agencies attract people who want authority without accountability. You cannot fire most of them. The FDA, the TSA, the Federal Reserve all function this way, staffed by individuals whose career advancement depends on expanding the agency's reach, never on serving you efficiently.

Apparently, the local Bridge club now holds their meetings in the sauna at my gym. What was once a brief respite from the cacophony of everyday life, has now been polluted with incessant chatter about how WiFi works and the lack of manners in today’s youth. The latter being especially funny given the circumstance in which they are talking at the top of their voices about it.
