This platform is such a disaster. We're spoonfed extremist conservative content like our lives depend on it. On even the most banal tweets, I'm completely inundated with rightwing responses from blue check accounts that joined Twitter within the last year to a degree I can't even explain. Elon himself spreads disinformation with the digital literacy of what I would imagine my great great grandmother would have if she was alive and I handed her an iphone (unless he's doing it on purpose, which is just as likely). Even Republican officials are calling out the cesspool that is our digital media environment. I can't imagine having all the money in the world to fix its problems, but instead being such an insecure manchild that I'd opt to exacerbate its demise to help cling onto a few more bucks in taxes. History will remember.

@GeorgiaPower sent me a notification that my power was back on and cleared my whole neighborhood in Savannah, but my whole street is still out. I reconfirmed that we are still without power, but now I'm worried we're back at the bottom of the queue as an individual outage

The history of Batman on film has always been to try to make it all serious and dispense with the comicky stuff and the costumes and give the villains more normal names and styles and motives but the story is still about a guy fighting crime in a giant bat costume
1 thing I think most modern action / thriller movies get wrong is cutting away from complex tasks or lazily explaining them away offscreen. Rewatching Thief and love how detailed the action is. Just James Caan painstakingly cracking safes with huge tools for 1/3 of the runtime

how can you not love bill, he's rich, he's like 55, he just just watched his favorite team win a championship literally sitting next to his dad, two days later he's firing off takes about taking lebron's son hostage for max christie, this is why he's the goat
Bill Simmons wants the Boston Celtics to draft Bronny James and hold him hostage
“Here’s my case: everybody says this draft sucks. The Celtics are so deep… anyone in this draft isn’t going to play for them. Why not take Bronny and you basically hold him hostage? Because all these other teams want him, right?.. The Lakers, you want him? Well we took Bronny, give us Max Christie. How bad do you want him? I would say Bronny the asset at 30 as a trade thing is worth more than anyone they could get here.”

"He's like if Prince played QB" is such a funny knock considering Prince is one of the most successful / celebrated musicians of all time despite being a weird dude...which makes the perfect argument for drafting Caleb
.@FlemFile on what a former NFL scout told him about Caleb Williams:
"Raw emotion is great, but Caleb's thing? That was ridiculous to me. That threw up major red flags. ... I will tell you, he scares the sh*t out of a lot of NFL teams too. The book on him is he's just kind of a weird kid. One GM told me it's like if Prince played quarterback."

I'm all for free speech but if you're on here to condescendingly spoil the ending of Dune for everyone the weekend the sequel is released cause you read the books the government should burst into your home and take your internet away

one of the funniest things about CURB is how you’ll catch onto the edits getting quicker when the actors are obviously breaking into uncontrollable laughter, and it’s always been a treat to see so many Richard Lewis scenes cut to fucking ribbons 💘

Maybe having kids has broken my brain, but after viewing it 8-10X a week for the last 2 months, I feel pretty strongly that Toy Story is the best acting performance of Tom Hanks' career
As mad as the Red Sox make me, if you were shocked by any of the comments made today you have been living in a cotton candy house on lollipop lane since the Mookie Betts catastrophe. This isn't a phase. This is the new normal.
Sell. The. Team.
How long would the Lions have to have sustained success in the NFL to have calls go their way in primetime against one of the league's favorite brands? Hard to imagine that "illegal touching" penalty getting called if it were Dallas going for the W

Unbelievable that no flag is thrown here, would’ve put the Chiefs inside the 10 #KCvsGB
What's the spread right now if Texas played Oregon on a neutral field btw? #CFP
Turns out the biggest game of the season was Texas v Bama on Sept. 9th? Same people who think UT should get in based on a win 3 months ago think FSU should be DQ'd cause of QB injury despite undefeated season / conf. title? Got it. Glad we get field of 12 next year. #CFBPlayoff
