Can we get a parallel livestream on the tax consequences @rledbetterCPA ? It's the 3 of them, so - definitely choice of entity, unless they haven't incorporated yet - who's footing the bill for their token spend? investor or self-funded R&D, or maybe startup costs
Ever wake up and want to build a company? I'm building one today with @poteto & @roshan_s xitter.cf/i/broadcasts/1AxRnZbVp…

Tough day for folks (DM me if I can help!) but if I found myself suddenly laid off from a company that cited AI as a cause, this is what I’d do: - download codex and Claude/code - say: “this was my job and how I spent my day, how can you help me automate it w skills” - push a dozen of those skills to GitHub - open up Claude design and make a portfolio site, with an “agent” per skill explaining how you built it, what tools it interacts with, etc.” give to lovable or v0 or whatever to publish - post that site and link to GitHub on LinkedIn - search “ai for <job>” and try all the new startups, form an opinion, message their founders - try something scary like openclaw, form an opinion - take a course in tactical AI in your field - build, share, build The gap in AI adoption is getting bigger. Start reskilling now while it’s early. The time is now.

Replying to @TGorcz
@TGorcz is the only reason Qualified Overtime Comp would be reported on a 1099 is if they misclassified the employee as an independent contractor?

When you don’t keep good books, you don’t just risk messy finances, you risk the IRS deciding your “business” is really just a hobby. 📉 In Young v. Commissioner (2025), sloppy records + personal spending disguised as ranching led to $200K+ in tax penalties

Why aren't these written the same? No tax on tips at $25,000, and the overtime deduction at $12,500/$25,000 if MFJ

Agree with this take. Beginner friendly👍. If you have skill in any domain, and see a problem, try out @Replit
A short post about @Replit after its recent major changes. From the start of their agentic journey, they have truly been the most beginner friendly AI coding agent out there. I once a built an entire SaaS tool prototype for a client using it in 1 HOUR. No UI design in hand, no PRD, no technical details for the app. Just 4 lines explaining what it does and what I want the UI to look like, and I got a fantastic v1. If I had given the same task to Cursor agent (which I did later), it would absolutely butcher the job with this level of context. And a KEY BENEFIT is that you can use the tool literally from your phone. Imagine having access to an AI coding agent and code editor from any device. It’s the best time saving AI tool I ever used! It helps even more since you can deploy the website/web app with the click of one button. A process that would take you an hour. The platform has become a bit more expensive after their recent changes, but I think it’s worth every penny that you pay for it.
