Three years ago today Hamas killed about 1,200 people and took hostages. In London, a Hate march still went ahead. Police asked them to move it off 7 October. They refused. Some covered their faces after being told not to. Chants for intifada outside a Jewish community office. Five arrests there. The hate march still got its route. In Gosport, locals protesting a small-boat landing got a town-wide dispersal order, a face-covering ban and 12 arrests. Same country. Same week. One crowd picks the anniversary of a massacre and gets managed through the streets. The other gets the order, the ban and the van. Call it what it is. Two-tier policing.
