El Niño conditions are returning.
This could raise global temperatures and make extreme weather events like droughts and floods more likely.

ALT Infographic with an image of Earth in the background reads: How could El Niño affect health? Higher temperatures and extreme weather events are more likely in an El Niño. Impacts include: escalating infectious diseases, like malaria, dengue and cholera; extreme heat, with heat-related risks to physical and mental health; floods, droughts and fires, which impact food security and access to healthcare.
