This is an open letter to Bedford Borough Council, @BedfordTweets and Mayor Tom Wootton, @Tom4Change. Following the ongoing interference by the Council and the Mayor in our football club, @realbedford, we are making their meddling, lack of action and stonewalling public. We are disappointed it has come to this as we have made every attempt to work collaboratively. Still, following Mayor Tom Wootton's decision to cancel the renewal of our lease following over a year of negotiation and agreement of the terms, we feel it is best the people of Bedford fully understand the damage they are risking for the development of football in the town, specifically with regards to the investment we have made and want to continue to make in youth and ladies football. Bedford deserves better than this, and we hope the Council and Mayor come to their senses and fix the problem they have created.
