🎧🎶🎧#55daysoflistening🎧🎶🎧 Week 7, Wednesday and it's time for conductor-composer @johncstringer, @Music_at_York stalwart. Music for flute, viola, harp – most gorgeous of all the chamber music configurations.

Yes a real shame its been allowed to get into its current position and there doesn't seem to be any good news on the horizon. Oldest building in Newcastle 👀❓

I have such fond memories of playing music at school. It doesn't just give young people joy, it teaches the skills and creativity essential to future learning and work. That's why I will change the curriculum so that all young people have access to music.classicfm.com/music-news/sir…

We’ve said it and read it a million times already today - but still: the MUSIC. Such depth, diversity, artistry, and many more words that won’t fit into a tweet. To say they have done us proud is the definition of ‘understatement’.

BBC orchs still facing 20% cuts, talk of freelancers. So if a school _always_ had 20% supply teachers that would be ok? Freelancers are excellent, but it's not the same as people that work together every day. Ditto teachers. But BBC admin doesn't understand that.
