Reminded this Christmas of the beautiful poem “At The End Of The Year” by John O’Donohue “We bless this year for all we learned, For all we loved and lost And for the quiet way it brought us Nearer to our invisible destination.”

Congratulations to #BealnamBlath commemorative committee on a very successful, inclusive and reflective centenary programme of events to remember and honour #michaelcollins. We should never take our freedoms, responsibilities and democracy for granted.

Andy Fletcher RIP- music is so important in our lives - Andy and Depeche Mode were part of the soundtrack to my life from the early 80’s. The albums, singles and concerts defined and shaped the roads travelled. May you find your own Personal Jesus. youtu.be/H9TZytu2fkk

I’ve been really saddened since Aidan and Michael were murdered. This vigil is important to stand in solidarity with all victims of hate crimes. We need to start a discourse on how people who identify with minority identities are valued, respected and protected.

Very saddened to learn of the passing this morning of Cork legend and Freeman, Billa O’Connell. He leaves behind a wonderful family, a legacy of entertainment, joy and he was the persona and essence of Cork. As a panto Dame might say he’s not gone “he’s behind us” always. RIP

Cosán na Naomh déanta againn; miongháire is ag caint fós: parked car at foot of Mount Brandon, 18km cycle from Baile na Breac (Brandon) to Ceann Trá (Ventry) and a 20km road/off-road way-marked hike back. Absolutely stunning and breathtaking. @dpccork75 #dingle #daingeanuichuis

An excellent @WorkWithPrideIE sponsor session facilitated expertly by @jerrybuttimer. While Pride is built on protest we need to ensure the ideals and impact of activists are brought beyond the community and outside of ourselves.
