People are not aware about our rebates @RemmintPay? Remmint charges 0.6% for collections paid by your customers and you get 0.1% back. We are stablecoin native which means we carry the crypto ethos. Super excited for the announcements that are brewing.🙂

In payments, trust is infrastructure. People want to trust the brand they’re giving their money to, so as founders when you build a brand optimize for trust. Sometimes it’s as simple as your neighbour saying, “I’ve used this. It works.” You’re probably more likely to try it than some random payment product you found on the internet. That’s why referrals, reputation and consistent execution matter so much in payments, the product can be great, but if people don’t trust you with their money, none of it matters.

It was amazing to be a part of training the next gen of leaders in the space. Thanks for the opportunity @womenindefi_org
Behind every new wallet, first transaction and "ohhh now I get it" moment in Squad 5.0 is a mentor who took the time. Thank you to our Intro to Web3 Squad 5.0 mentors for answering one more question, explaining one more concept, and for believing we could build before we believed it ourselves. Your time, patience and guidance meant everything. Grateful for you: @johnbabodor @josiahpreciousa @toria_dickson @sekaniseyi

One thing that frustrates me about the NRS taxing crypto while rolling out regulations is that institutions still treat the crypto industry like a grey area. I’ve been speaking with a lot of banks about partnerships, and I still hear: “We don’t want to touch cryptocurrencies” or “We don’t have regulatory clearance to work with crypto firms.” If institutions are hesitant to adopt because of regulatory uncertainty, while the government is already taxing the same industry, something is clearly wrong. You can’t treat an industry as taxable revenue while giving institutions every reason to stay away from it. At that point, it starts to feel like we’re just pawns♟️ on a chess board.

Very good point here. Email outreach in 2026 feels almost pointless. For a small business with tight margins, sending 100,000 emails and closing 1–2 clients is barely any ROI. And setting up an email campaign is still one of the hardest things to do because the entire process is so fragmented and expensive. You need a separate tool for everything: Sourcing leads Enriching leads Buying a domain Hosting inboxes Warming up inboxes Setting up a sequencer Managing your CRM Keeping everything connected without getting your inboxes flagged or burned Every tool comes with its own subscription. By the time you put everything together, you’re looking at $600–$2,000 in setup costs alone, only to hear crickets or get your inboxes blocked.
Cold email was very effective until around 2020. When I started in sales in 2016, I would send around 100 lightly personalized cold emails a day and get around a 5% positive response rate. Around 30% of those resulting meetings converted to sales. The math worked. Then in COVID, everyone who was doing outside sales was forced to pivot to inside sales and used automation platforms like SalesLoft and Outreach as a spam cannon. This was also the ZIRP period when SaaS companies grossly overhired on their sales teams and thus with more sellers than leads to go around, sellers resorted to spray and pray email tactics The final nail in the coffin for cold email was agents that can send emails. If you receive a cold email today, there is probably only a 10% chance that a human put actual thought into it Cold outbound as a strategy still very much works. But it needs to be hyper personalized, and is only very effective on platforms like X and LinkedIn where potential buyers can learn more about your personal brand before engaging

On today’s episode of card rails being horribly unreliable: On Friday evening, I noticed multiple SMS alerts from UBA, our family’s spending account. After checking, we discovered we’d been charged a good amount of money through “APPLE BILL” in multiple transactions of roughly ₦8,000 each the previous day. The frustrating part? We never use this card online or link it to subscriptions. It exists solely for groceries and monthly expenses. I have separate cards for subscriptions. We typically have ₦100k–₦300k left after our monthly spending, but this month, we were down to just over ₦100k. What bothers me most is that we have no idea how the card details were compromised, and I’m not sure I trust the bank enough to keep using it. Part of why I’m building @RemmintPay is because I believe contactless payments + stablecoins will eventually replace a lot of traditional card payments, offering a more reliable way to move and spend money. Contactless payments were already on our roadmap when I was building FlezPay. I believe we’ll bring that vision to Remmint once we’ve established ourselves in the stablecoin market. I don’t use cards on my personal account because I consider it a security risk, you can be hacked through a thousand ways. Anyways, I’ll be heading to the bank when I find the time to figure out whether this was a card or account compromise.

I hold myself to very high standards, so much so that I’m sometimes guilty of not appreciating the small wins. Last week, we processed our highest weekly volume yet, a couple thousand dollars bringing our total processed volume into the tens of thousands. It’s not a huge number yet, but it tells me we’re growing, improving, and that my understanding of the product is getting sharper with every week. Last month was my first full month working on Remmint, and I’m genuinely excited about how quickly we’re growing. Still early. But we’re moving.

One of my biggest happiness is seeing our product being used innovatively. One of our partners, a subscription platform integrated our crypto and fiat deposits and abstracted everything underneath. Like you'd never know it's powered by @RemmintPay! They are launching a card program and deposits to those cards would be handled by us. If you’d like to add seamless deposits here’s our docs: remmint.com/api-doc

My team has been shipping so fast it’s hard to keep up. 😂 We just revamped LINQs by @RemmintPay payment links for merchants and SMBs selling online or in-store. With LINQs you can accept stablecoins across major networks and Naira deposits, track payments, reconcile easily, and seeing what’s selling. Own a phone shop? Sell clothes on Instagram? Want to get started? DM me “LINQ” and I’ll get your shop set up myself.

I have no idea why people are calling this brilliant man AI-phobic or dismissing this as a stunt tweet. His point is simple: Humans are currently the most intelligent and dangerous species on Earth. What happens when we’re no longer the smartest? What happens when we’re second-best? The human brain is wired to survive. Giving AI that same survival instinct or willpower is something I don’t think we’ve fully thought through (we don’t have the ability to, it’s basic combination theory). AI can evaluate an enormous number of possible scenarios and choose the one that best serves its objective. That’s the conversation we should be having.
I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.

One of the biggest reasons the blockchain industry hasn’t grown faster is that most companies are still focused on industry-only events. If we want to grow the pie, we have to go where the users are, that is to step outside our bubble. Go into unfamiliar industries and show people how blockchain can make the processes they already use faster, cheaper, and more reliable. Building @RemmintPay and talking to founders outside crypto has made one thing obvious to me: there’s very little education around how much better blockchain rails can be for certain use cases. Take SaaS companies: They complain about chargebacks and losing customers because of failed transactions, but many still aren’t open to solving these problems with crypto rails. They default to cards because crypto simply feels less appealing from the outside. That changes when you actually show them what the technology can do. Going to their events, understanding their problems, and educating them on how blockchain can solve those problems is far more effective than talking to ourselves at crypto conferences. And this goes way beyond payments. There are so many problems blockchain can solve, but education has to come first. IMO, if we want this industry to grow, we should educate first, then build the products the market actually wants.

I’ve watched @OpenAI overtake @AnthropicAI recently, and it made me realize: These things rarely happen overnight. Anthropic was growing at an unprecedented pace last year and early this year, while OpenAI was quietly making strategic moves behind the scenes. Strategy rarely pays off immediately. Success is a stack of small wins that compound. I have Claude Pro, but tbh, my free ChatGPT still feels smarter.

The name ESUSU definitely comes from Nigeria. It’s essentially a crowdfunding cooperative, for lack of a better term. A group of people agree to contribute a fixed amount regularly. The entire pool is then paid out to one person at a time, and the process continues until everyone in the group has received their share. It’s a simple way to turn small, regular contributions into a larger lump sum when it’s your turn to collect. Great read.

X algorithm is going back to the mess it was a few months ago. This has been me all day. I protect my algorithm here so much, I have time for zero slops, excessive political bs, fake news, propaganda and most importantly any form of discrimination (tribal bigotry, racism or hate speeches)

One of the best pieces of advice I’ve received is: Your first goal is to create value before you sell. Before every pitch, I ask myself: Does this product or service genuinely create value for the person buying it? That question has shaped how I approach every call and conversation throughout my time building @RemmintPay.

If you visited our YouTube page yesterday you’d have seen me talking about our payment links. ICYMI 👇
A while ago, I promised to share the redesign of our new landing page. It took a little longer than expected, but I finally got around to it. Little tweaks like these actually make a big difference. We’re working hard to make sure we communicate the right information and clearly showcase everything we’re building and have built so far. Full video in the comments 👇
