Hey Boils & Ghouls! Missing HHN tonight (I’ll be back in 2 weeks) so going to open up the question box if you wanna ask any questions about the creation of HHN 2026 in HOLLYWOOD that you wanted to ask before it disappears back into the fog.
Fire away
I know we’re still in the middle of HHN 2026 but work on HHN 2027 continues. Just finished the treatment for house #5 at USH. Came in at a busting-at-the-seams 177 pages (granted a lot of that is reference images, etc).
Now on to the next one…
#HorrorNeverSleeps
As we head into another week of HHN at USH, wanted to continue the shout outs to the people behind the scenes. Major kudos to my longtime colleague Scott Klecker and the whole casting team, especially for Sinners! Check out this clip!

Halloween Memories Part 2 - this vinyl album was the go to sound track to my early home haunts as a kid. It was essentially a sound effects record but the first track “The Haunted House” is forever seared into my brain! Did anyone have this record.
Halloween Memories. I had this book when I was a kid, ordered from my school (Los Altos Elementary, Hacienda Heights). This along with Dick Smith’s Horror Make Up kit was my entre into horror make up. Did anyone else have this book?
Don’t you hate how Christmas comes earlier every year? Well not in this case. Ice Nine Kills original score for Terror Tram is coming soon! Follow @ICENINEKILLS for details

More on Jack and Pearl’s night at our Ozzy house.
BTS of Pearl and I going undercover at @HorrorNights 😱 This is a lot harder than it looks, huge respect for all the scare actors at Universal! So much fun, I would do anything this every night if I could. Run, don’t walk, to dad’s house!
We’ve had some surprise guest scareactors at HHN over the years. Eli Roth in Hostel, Michael Dougherty in Trick R Treat, James Franco in The Shining, Lupita Nyong’o in Us and now Jack Osbourne and has daughter Pearl in Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness!
I captured Jack and Pearl Osbourne scare acting in Ozzy House!!! 🦇 @john_murdy

As we head into another week of HHN at USH, wanted to give a big shout out to Bobby Tilly our costume designer and the entire costume team. Sinners, Hellraiser, Ozzy etc…so many varied, elaborate costumes that were all expertly realised.
So what’s your favorite HHN costume?
Who’s still awake in LA LA Land? Did you got to HHN? What was your favorite house? It’s a surprisingly lovely day here in Ireland and I’m about to cook a traditional Irish breakfast for my girls. Killing time till I put on the rashers so let me know what you think?
There’s so many people who work behind the scenes on HHN who don’t always get publicly noticed. I want to acknowledge Peggy Paola who is retiring today. Peggy’s attention to detail has elevated our props & dressing for years & has made a tremendous visual impact to HHN. Thank you
Goodbye LA! Flying back to Ireland tonight to continue writing HHN 2027. I’ll be back at HHN October 24th to close things out.
Till we meet again…”I’ll See You On The Other Side”
Great to spend this past weekend with my bother in horror @Michael_Aiello from HHN at Universal Orlando Resort. We’ve been friends and colleagues for over two decades now and it’s always great to have the chance to hang out (and plan the future of our events).
A week of meetings at @unistudios in Studio City.
Had some quality time with long time collaborator and friend @john_murdy and got to experience his and the teams work on @horrornights! Had a wonderful time! The event is spectacular!
But the accommodations were a little suspect… ;)
Coast to Coast #HHN Domination!
Last 2 event nights in LA but before I go I just wanted to express my sincere thanks to everyone who’s come out to support the event this year. I’ve met soooooo many of you during the event and it’s truly humbling to hear the enthusiasm and joy you have for what we create.
I can’t really say why but this year it means more to me than you can ever know. I am left with nothing but gratitude for our amazing fans and the support you have shown us over the years. We’re extremely lucky to have you and that is never lost on me. Thank you
