Both new build synthetic pitches @SedberghSchool achieved the highest possible standard for a sand dressed surface, as certified by the International Hockey Federation. A key project objective first identified during our feasibility work back in 2020 ✅ @SSL_Consultants
Brand new skatepark and pumptrack handed over at Droitwich Spa Leisure Centre! Complete with youth shelter, pathway lighting & site furniture, the facility is part of a multi-million pound leisure investment including the revamp of the centre itself.

25 years since the original build, last week we handed over a newly resurfaced pitch @BowdonHC. The project included the install of an elite level non-filled synthetic turf and gripper channel, a replacement shockpad performance layer & remedial works to the base.

Project handover at Cumberland Arena in Crewe. Reduced infill 3G surface system installed with shockpad underlay. Pitch foundation upgraded to engineered design. New perimeter fencing installed with infill retainers.
Latest progress on the hockey pitch replacement @BowdonHC. Following some minor base remedial work, the carpet gripper channel has been installed & the new shockpad is now complete. @SSL_Consultants

Double pitch refurbishment completed and handed over in Battersea Park! Located on the south bank of the River Thames, the FIH compliant sand dressed synthetic turf complete with new insitu shockpad covers a footprint of almost 13,000 square metres.
3G pitch rebuild continues at Cumberland Arena in Crewe. A 20mm thick shockpad layer has now been installed, reducing the quantity of loose infill needed in the new synthetic turf.

5 years since getting back in touch with @BowdonHC & assisting with budget projections, this week sees the start of the replacement of the waterbased hockey pitch. 25 years since the ‘Aquaturf’ pitch was originally constructed, I’m delighted to continue to support the club.

The new build hockey/multi-use pitch for King Edward Camp Hill Schools in #Birmingham is progressing well. Porous macadam base installed and surveyed in line with FIH requirements. Retaining wall almost complete together with the perimeter fencing.

Following our site survey work & tender process, initial works are underway as part of the 3G pitch redevelopment at Cumberland Arena in Crewe. Base reconstruction, new improved fencing & turf system upgrade coming soon.

Practical completion achieved in Anglesey. Ysgol Gyfun Llangefni now has a brand new 3G training area complete with infill retainers & new 5v5 goals. Protected from the elements beneath the canopy covering. @SSL_Consultants
Following the application of the tennis & netball lines, the resurfaced porous macadam courts at Stonyhurst College near Clitheroe are now complete. The 2nd project we’ve delivered for the College in recent years.
