We're so pleased to announce that the Space Traveller II, the stunning solar/sidereal watch by George Daniels has been loaned to the museum to sit alongside other works by Daniels. Thanks to the generosity of the lender it will be on display for all to see for a min of 3 years

'Who lives in a house like this?' Or perhaps one should say barn? A rural scene engraved inside the chapter ring of this mid 17th C watch by John Smeaton is only c. 10mm in diameter. The watch will be coming to the gallery soon, although we might need a magnifying glass!

This is pretty neat. My chum Johan is overhauling a C19th historic clock that was designed to self-wind by using temperature differential (apparently it didn't work very well)
