The full replacement of MBTA Red Line is getting delayed again and might not happen until the early 2030s — years behind the original schedule.
Supply chains, tariffs, manufacturing hurdles and ongoing issues at the CRRC plant in Springfield are to blame.

I’m ok. Make no mistake: this is an attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal law enforcement. For ten years, Trump has targeted me with baseless lies and smear campaigns. This is just the latest escalation in his campaign of political intimidation.
I will not be silenced.

The criminality of the Trump administration knows no bounds, and we cannot afford a “Look forward, not backward” approach afterwards. There needs to be accountability for the immorality, illegality, and rot at all levels.

Every student deserves a classroom where they can be comfortable, healthy, and focused on learning.
With support from @MassCEC, the 120-year-old Otis School now has cleaner, more efficient heating and cooling — a model for how we retrofit schools across Massachusetts.
Proud to partner with @MayorWu and @BostonSchools to make it happen.

VICTORY in @adc case Pacheco v. City of Miami Beach! Earlier this year, the Mayor sent police to veteran Raquel Pacheco's house because she had criticized the Mayor's dehumanizing rhetoric against Palestinians on social media.
The cops refused to leave even though she said she didn't want to speak to them without a lawyer, insinuated her post could be unlawful as it could incite violence, and told her to refrain from posting such content in the future.
Today, the judge in the Southern District of Miami DENIED much of Defendants' motion to dismiss, finding that the police visit could constitute unlawful viewpoint discrimination and retaliation under the First Amendment. The judge also held we could proceed on our theory of municipal liability against the City, because we had alleged facts demonstrating a pattern or practice of discriminating against pro-Palestine speech in the City of Miami Beach. In 2014, a small group of senators asked whether we should question the climate impact of gas line extensions. In 2026, recognizing that ratepayers are subsidizing a stranded asset, 3x voted to rein in. Change takes time. I think the trend is clear. @JamieEldridgeMA #mapoli

“The same volunteers who were knocking on the doors for Darializa and Claire were the same ones who were brutalized by the police, who their communities were targeted by ICE, who were expelled from their own universities and gaslit by their own politicians,” Mr. Khalil said. “The Palestine liberation movement in this country helped a lot in accelerating this change.”

IT'S OFFICIAL: The House has passed our extension of TPS for Haiti.
This win wouldn't be possible without the strength & organizing of our movement to defend our Haitian neighbors.
To those in the #MA7 & beyond, this is for you.
The Senate must pick this up without delay.
