In a written interview with Taiwanese outlet 4Gamers, @Blizzard_Ent clarified that the #WoWForever GDKP ban applies to NA and EU only. Other regions will continue to allow GDKP — the same policy as Season of Discovery and the Anniversary realms.
For CN, this points to GDKP staying while RMT remains the target. NetEase has already published notices against RMT, paid boosting and gold farming, and the CN Beta auction house includes a WoW Token tab (currently empty) — an official route to gold that could fill the gap left by third-party sellers.

Back in 2024, Blizzard banned GDKP in Season of Discovery, but the restriction was not applied to Taiwan/Asia servers, where a large number of CN players had moved during the Blizzard/NetEase shutdown.
GDKP has long been deeply rooted in the CN WoW community, so one of the biggest questions around #WoWForever has been whether that culture will continue and if GDKP/RMT will be harshly banned in CN Forever.
Just hours after the Forever CN Beta launched, NetEase published a notice specifically targeting economy exploits and gold farming. Combined with its recent statement against RMT and paid boosting, this feels like another sign that NetEase is moving much closer to Blizzard’s stance on the issue.
The community is still watching closely though — especially with some of the strange Auction House behavior being reported during Beta.

Pandarens don’t exist tho, definitely don’t look behind that door, it’s definitely not a several mile high pile of abandoned characters with nowhere to call home. Definitely not!
Would LOVE to hear from the artists tasked with carrying these adjustments out - what’s it like making something that to their eye might seem worse? Was it difficult to resist the urge to do more with them? Just a super cool unique challenge.
