They can make gold out of mercury. But can they make bitcoin out of mercury?

Maybe I’ll buy a Fairphone since their logo says FP.

I must say that seeing PHP and Node.js systems collapsing is very funny.

Code is the context.
If you use Codex and Claude on the same codebase, how do you share context between them?

Another great reason to use Haskell is that it’s not PHP…

Specially since we have AI now that can migrate your PHP app to a better language and fix and a lot of the slop along the way (because if you program in PHP I’m sure there’s a lot of slop).
People who use absolute dog shit, worst of the worst, you’d be better off doing any kind of unskilled manual labor tier programming languages are all really upset today. Wonder why…

How on earth did this happen: The Indian certificate authority (CA) eMudhra had one job (well, two): 1. Create secure, 384-bit private keys 2. Store these securely and do not leak them Well, eMudhra chose private keys between 1 and 256 (the numbers!!) and called it a day. WTF
I don't really understand why this would happen. It seems higher-effort than standard key generation.

This is what @Lipton tea looks like! Full of dried larva’s! Absolutely disgusting! I wonder what else is in it. Probably some dried poop.

Most programming languages do not allow you to build reliable abstractions. That includes all mainstream, side-effectful, languages.

It’s always great to hear Odersky. On saving prompts together with the code: with the exception of things that cannot be easily expressed with the type system (e.g. typeclass laws), I am almost always against comments. And prompts seem the same.

My agents know how to write commit messages: - Title only. Nobody reads commit bodies. Noise. - No Jira keys. That shit is noise. Code is the source of truth.

I am guessing this is irony. But if not… I wonder what you guy have been doing all this time. Closing Jira tickets?
i can't believe software is dead it's a shame because i spent all these years getting good at solving hard problems sucks that those skills aren't applicable to anything else

I have no doubt all all personal data in all European government systems is already leaked into the secret services of Russia, China, and USA/Israel. This was probably true before the agentic bots, but now there’s simply no way it isn’t true.
