When the @SFGiants lost the 02 World Series I was 13yo,devastated. My Mama Susie handed me a sealed envelope that said:
“Open after the Giants win World Series.”
On Nov. 2 2010 I opened it.

My friend Gwen Knapp died today. She was the most fearless, passionate journalist I’ve ever known. She had a mind so fertile and quick that she’d rethink her ideas & arguments as we were still processing her first torrent of thoughts. She was the best kind of friend. All love. 💜
