The father of the 20-year-old co-pilot who died along with eight others when their Learjet crashed in Florida said Friday he has listened to his daughter’s final radio transmissions “many times” since the crash.
Allan Filgueiras, himself a pilot, was searching for answers as to why the plane plunged from the sky on Sunday — but what he found was pride in how his daughter, Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras, handled the crisis.

I don't want to give this more oxygen than it deserves, but this is the antithesis of what a creator response should be when it comes to expert opinion. None of these arguments make scientific sense, (not even marketing sense) but techbros will be techbros 🤷🏼

What is the meaning of life?
For Benjamin List, 2021 Nobel Prize laureate in chemistry, the answer became clear after a life-changing moment – when he and his family were separated during a tsunami while on holiday.
That experience reshaped how he sees his work, his purpose, and what truly matters.

Repeating my request -
Start long lease for individual doctors to have clinics in Pune Metro stations. Do NOT sell that space to corporate healthcare.
Start at-least one Jan-aushadhi shop in these medical hubs.
Metro stations are convenient and accessible to people on wheelchairs too.
Make them into diverse medical hubs. Bring community spirit back in our communities.

#WATCH | Delhi: Principle of Lovely Public School, Bhawna says, "The child had gone out to play. She returned from her play period, entered the classroom, stood for about two minutes, and then collapsed. We took her to the hospital, where the doctors stated that it was a cardiac arrest. She was a third-grade student... We took her straight to the hospital and informed her mother immediately. Another teacher brought the mother to the hospital right away. We had never been informed of any such health issues; we had no prior knowledge of anything like that. The parents never mentioned anything, and the child did not appear to be ill. It was around 9:00 AM..." (04.11)

Here’s another incident from the border area of Madhya Pradesh or Chhattisgarh, where a bear injured some people. The forest department team acted immediately, tranquilized the bear, and rescued it from a residential settlement located right in the middle of the forest.
Now look at these 21st-century people who continue to live in the heart of the jungle. How much love do they really have for the forest, and how much respect do they show for the wildlife that inhabits it? Governments, for their own political gains, refuse to relocate people from these critical forest areas.
Such cases always put me on edge. These kinds of childish and reckless actions keep turning into accidents, yet the blame is invariably placed only on the wild animal. The administration should punish people for such disgusting and foolish acts. Otherwise, these incidents are only going to increase in the future.

Last night, women broke barriers and records across the country. That incredible progress started with women who, generations ago, dared to break the mold and push open doors that had been closed to them for far too long. These milestones are a powerful reminder that when women can step into their power, they expand what’s possible for those who come next—and that our democracy is stronger when our government reflects the people it serves. nbcnews.com/politics/2026-el…

Horrifying.
This 10-hectare pond in Nerul is home to thousands of migratory flamingos every year.
Now, CIDCO wants to build homes there and even puts a cost to it—Rs 3600 crore “loss” if it is not developed.
How can a city planning authority like @CIDCO_Ltd be so utterly uneducated about the environment?

Mumbai Airport's actions are being consistently criticized for being unilateral & refusing to take key stakeholders into confidence..whether airlines (airport shift still being rammed through) or now cab drivers.
Surely they realise that there are fare paying passengers who are suffering.

India has demonstrated remarkable leadership in advancing non-animal science—a progress every Indian can be proud of. We must build on this achievement, not move backward.
Wild animals belong in their natural habitats, community dogs and cats deserve protection, and animals in laboratories should be spared avoidable suffering.
Celebrities, politicians, scientists, veterinarians, and animal protection organisations are uniting to urge the government to withdraw the proposed rules and introduce forward-looking regulations that strengthen animal protection while advancing human-relevant, non-animal science.

For the friends who have been reaching out, thank you.
Over the years, I have openly criticised and challenged politicians, political parties and governments across the spectrum. Yes, that includes the INC, AAP, the Shiv Sena, the Left parties and the SP. Only one set of supporters has ever responded with threats and abuse. No points for guessing whose followers act like they are in a death cult.
A few words for them. I am clear about my work and my role, and fully aware of the risks and consequences that may follow. Yet, somehow, neither the loss of comfort nor the prospect of emotional or physical pain frightens me. Turning forty helped me understand myself a little better, and to see that public service is how I stay true to myself. It is the path that gives me real joy.
Yes, I do have fears. The biggest is that I may fail to carry forward the mission of our Constitution with the rigour, pace and courage it deserves. But even here, I will not compromise, under any circumstances. The world will always be challenging, and that is what makes it fun. I remain optimistic, and I hold on to a joy for life. It is short, and I intend to smile through it. Again, a big thank you to my friends who make it possible.
