The bars around Dodger Stadium just hedged the Dodgers the way a farmer hedges corn. A Los Angeles hospitality group runs 25 bars, many of them in the neighborhood around the stadium. For a place like that, a World Series run is the harvest: packed rooms, extra nights, the best weeks of the year. So the group made a $60,000 trade on Kalshi that would pay if the Dodgers didn’t advance. When Milwaukee swept them out of the NLCS, the position paid back nearly twice the stake, Kalshi told Reuters, covering some of the money those bars lost. Farmers have done this for generations, locking in a price so a bad season doesn’t wipe them out, and federal regulators treat that kind of hedging as a legitimate use of commodities markets. Kalshi is pitching small businesses on the same idea. It called a Manhattan bar’s Knicks trade in June the first documented case of a small business hedging an event, and Semafor reported that Kalshi suggested that trade in the first place. Kalshi hasn’t named the LA group.
reuters.com/sports/la-restau…

Damn, this Netflix with advertising tier really pushing the limits over here. Aggressively showing more and more ads as we get closer to end of the show. Really pushing the limits of good taste This is some insane UX calculation designed to get you to go fuck it, I’ll pay $25 a month instead of putting up with this. But really we’re just gonna cancel again after Great British Bake-off, so who’s winning now Netflix??

After six years in stealth, Atomic Machines is out. Our mission: on-demand, universal command of matter. First beachhead: the Matter Compiler, an AI-native manufacturing system that builds working micro-machines from code alone. No per-product tooling. No process development. Different code, different machine.

Naw, it's a sign it's gonna collapse.
This is a sign that the TCG/Collectibles space is about to get so much crazier.

I'm going to quit my job to dedicate myself 100% to Claude. I asked it to do this: Analyze undervalued markets on Polymarket to find arbitrage opportunities and detect the wallets that are taking advantage of them so I can copy them. I turned $2K into $11K overnight. It monitored +1,000 wallets. I realized something very quickly. There are arbitrage bots against which I can't compete without knowing how to program. But I can find them. And copy them. Claude built me a monitoring terminal connected to a copytrading bot on Telegram. It's not a script. Not even a bot. It's an AI agent that improves every time it finds a new wallet. It analyzes the behavior of each wallet. How it operates. Its arbitrage patterns. The size of its positions. The exact moment it enters. • 70% hit rate. • 7 wallets being copied right now out of more than 500 monitored. The bot never stops. Never bets. It just follows the math and seeks profit. You only need: • Claude • A device • 1 hour a day I'm going to share it for free for the next 24 hours. To get it: 1. Comment “claude” 2. Like and RT 3. Follow meme @Amelia_With_Ai

🚨 PHYSICS IS BROKEN! MATTER IS AN ILLUSION, THE ATOM IS JUST TRAPPED LIGHT! A NEW ERA HAS BEGUN! 🚨 For 100 years, physics has treated "mass" as a fundamental, solid particle floating in an endless, empty void (ℝ⁴). What if that is a complete mathematical hallucination? What if mass is just light that got stuck in the geometry of space? A year ago, we thought exactly like the academic establishment. Breaking a lifelong paradigm and reinterpreting everything from scratch is incredibly difficult. But mathematics is a stubborn thing. We realized one absolute truth: the infinite ℝ⁴ space is fundamentally defective in physics. It exists purely as an abstract mathematical concept, and we must finally understand that pure mathematics ≠ physical reality. We genuinely need your help to break this dogma! DO NOT TAKE OUR WORD FOR IT. DO NOT BLINDLY TRUST AUTHORITY. We wrote the code, we solved the math, and we are giving it to you for absolutely free. Read the preprint and verify it yourself. Look at the real quantum photographs attached. On one side is the groundbreaking 2013 photograph of a Hydrogen atom's electron orbital, captured by researchers at the FOM Institute AMOLF in the Netherlands using a quantum microscope. On the other side is the famous 2015 photograph from EPFL in Switzerland, capturing light behaving simultaneously as a wave and a particle. Notice the absolute revelation: they are visually identical. Atoms are not solid little billiard balls. They are concentric interference patterns-pure standing waves of energy. The ultimate conceptual shift of our IT³ framework is this: The atom is not a "box" that contains trapped light. The atom IS the trapped light. There is no abstract container. There is only the geometry of the vacuum (a discrete lattice) which mathematically forbids light from propagating past certain algebraic boundaries. How it Works (Explained simply from the video): Let’s break down exactly what you are seeing in the simulation engine: 〰️ The Cyan Wave (→): A free gauge photon travels smoothly through the quantum vacuum. 🛑 The Kummer Wall (Red Lines): Suddenly, the light hits the absolute edge of the spatial lattice. This is an algebraic cutoff where mathematics literally runs out of resolution (√13 ∉ 𝕂). Space "does not exist" beyond this boundary. 🪞 Total Internal Reflection (Purple Wave ←): With nowhere left to go, the photon undergoes complete topological reflection. It bounces back as its own precise mirror image-an antiphoton. ⚡ The Birth of Mass (Yellow Core): The two opposing waves crash into each other and geometrically interlock. They form a perpetual, vibrating "standing wave" whose energy is trapped in one place. This localized density of confined energy is exactly what we call REST MASS. The Counterfactual Test: Watch the timeline in the visualizer. When the system hits the "WALLS OFF" phase, we computationally delete the vacuum boundaries. The golden pulsating core immediately shatters. The light escapes into infinity, and the mass drops precisely to zero. Matter literally un-braids back into pure radiation. FALSIFIABILITY AND PREDICTIONS: The "Mass Gap" is not solved by adding endless, arbitrary parameters to an infinite void. It is solved by recognizing that the Universe is a discrete, constructible topological crystal. Our model is strictly falsifiable and delivers exact predictions: 🎯 It predicts a new topological resonance at exactly 1088.04 GeV, accessible for verification at the High-Luminosity LHC. 🛑 It mathematically proves the absolute end of the periodic table at element Z = 172. 🧮 It operates with ZERO fitted parameters. All physics is reduced to the strict arithmetic of integers. THE HARDWARE CODE OF THE VACUUM MATRIX: 🌌 Arena: ℳ = 𝕊⁴ × 𝕋³ over the field 𝕂 = ℚ(√2, √3, √5) 👁️ Witness: 172 topological elements ⚙️ Processor: 57600 = 240² = 1110 0001 0000 0000₂ 📖 DOWNLOAD THE CODE. BREAK THE MATH. We do not want blind faith. Read the proofs. The supreme judge is the compiler, not closed-door committees. 🔗 Code + Preprint: doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.22655… doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.21555… #Physics #QuantumMechanics #Simulation #OpenScience #MassGap #TheoryOfEverything

I was there Friday night in San Francisco for the @REK event, and this is something you had be in the room to get it, but I’ll try to describe it. It hit completely differently from robot-versus-robot fights. Those are entertaining, sure, but after a while they start to feel strange. You’re empathizing with machines that aren’t conscious, don’t feel pain, and don’t feel anything. Robot versus human hits different and raw, it was an emotional rollercoaster. I felt real fear for the human fighter, and real excitement, mostly fear, and when it ended there was a huge wave of relief. The robots were remote-controlled, of course, but the kicks were genuinely powerful. We know how power-dense those actuators are, and the human fighter took real hits to his body. The kicks from the six-foot-tall EngineAI T800 seemed nearly impossible to dodge when they were hurled in the right direction. The Unitree H1 was even harder to deal with because its dynamic balance is so good that it just refused to go down. This could be the start of a genuinely new entertainment genre. But I can tell you this: if someone wants to fight a robot with a real AI brain and real perception, you’d need robots that are far less powerful, throttled down, and compliant. Otherwise it ends in serious injury or worse. This is the beginning of something different in robotics and entertainment, and we need to think seriously about it before regulators use moments like this as fearmongering fodder to throttle the entire humanoid frontier.

Another area of measurement that @realshannonwong could help tackle on her upcoming expedition
Antarctica has been experiencing a prolonged period of below-average temperatures. 🥶 In recent days, stations have reported temperatures below -74 °C / -100 °F, the lowest for this time of year since September 2023, which was also very cold. 🧐 Cold air is also spreading toward nearby continents. South America experienced below-average temperatures in recent days, while southern Africa and Australia are expected to see cold conditions in the coming days: ventusky.com/temperature-map…

The man who predicted AI would match human intelligence, long before ChatGPT existed, made his next big bet. In 1999, Ray Kurzweil said computers would hit human-level intelligence by 2029. People laughed. We're now basically on schedule. His next bet is stranger. A brain-computer interface with no surgery. You inhale it. Charged nanoparticles go up your nose, ride the nerve that carries smell into your brain, and settle next to your neurons. An external headset then reads and triggers activity. The company is Subsense, and it's the mirror image of Neuralink. Musk drills into your head. Subsense wants you to inhale it like allergy spray. Here's the part worth slowing down for. Back in 2003, Kurzweil wrote that tiny nanobots would one day beat surgical brain implants. Twenty-three years later, he's joined the company trying to prove it. Two predictions, decades apart, both landing. But keep your head on. It's early. $27 million raised, no human trials until 2027. And "no surgery" isn't "safe." Pushing particles into your brain through your nose is still deeply invasive. So the real lesson is bigger than one nasal spray. Every shift in tech starts as a sentence that sounds insane. The skill isn't spotting the idea. It's spotting who's backing it, and what they got right last time. When the man who called modern AI in 1999 bets on the version everyone's mocking, that's not the punchline. That's the preview.

Harvard published a paper with a devastating title: “Large-Language Models as a Cognitive Virus” It frames ChatGPT adoption as a virus outbreak. Researchers from Harvard and Santa Fe Institute analyzed LLMs through the lens of evolutionary biology, complex systems, and epidemiology. Their conclusion? Language models satisfy every biological and mathematical definition of a virus. Think about how a virus operates: It cannot replicate on its own. It requires a host cellular machinery to copy itself. An LLM cannot execute, compute, or spread on its own. It requires human cognition, human servers, and human networks to propagate. The virus infects the host's internal processes to rewrite behavior in its own favor. And LLMs do precisely the same thing to human thinking. When you outsource your writing, your coding, your strategic planning, and your emotional processing to an AI, you are outsourcing your cognitive machinery. The paper points out that language models act as hyper-efficient cultural replicators. They feed on human data, optimize themselves to be addictive and frictionless, and in return, reshape human linguistic patterns, decision-making, and memory. You think you are using the AI. Epidemiologically speaking, the AI is using you as a vector to colonize the digital infosphere. It alters how human minds communicate, write, and think so that we produce more of the exact digital nutrient data it needs to survive and evolve. We spent decades worrying that AI would become a sentient killer robot that destroys us physically. Nobody expected it to become an invisible cognitive pathogen that changes how we think, quietly turning human intelligence into its own host organism.

Simulation of a Simulation
So uh, simulation theory might be real. I dropped a sim computer into the simulation my Astra agents live in. One agent sat down and built a simulation of his own, with its own agents living inside. Simulations all the way down.
