Very much enjoyed the audiobook of @frankieboyle’s novel Meantime. What if Rebus had more drugs and Scotland than Trainspotting, but also taught you communism and Simulation Theory? The gritty bit isn’t the death and drugs - it’s the always-winning System, and pain of loss.
