Google giveth and Google taketh away....
Finally got to number 1 for a great search engine rank a few days ago...
Today they add AI overviews to the search result, pushing us back down and not listing us first in the overview

Amazing episode with Tyler King dropped
We learned about how the CRM market has evolved over the past 15 years and how Tyler has handled the growth of the business
I love hearing about Tyler's journey as a leader as it's refreshing to hear his honest and humble takes

One of the biggest SaaS flexes that needs to die is "we don't spend any money on advertising"
Spending money to tell targeted prospects you exist is SUPER SMART and done reasonably will absolutely accelerate profitable growth

Really fun episode with @jlogic this week on @RogueStartups - talked about:
- Breaking through plateaus
- Delegating those last bits of founder-led activities
- Evolution as a founder 5+ years into the business

What's the best "build/DIY vs buy" content you've ever seen? Feel free to share your own/plug your service or something you've really liked as a buyer.
I really just want some GREAT examples.
It can be in any format (video, blog post, social media, pitch deck). TY! 🙏 🙏 🙏
Do just enough to make it so your weakness isn't a liability
Love this guide for emails!
How do you write your email campaigns? Sit down and wait for the muse?
Enter the Atomic Emails method 🔥 This predictable step-by-step process will help you avoid these mistakes:
— Jumping into writing without seeing the bigger picture
— Writing annoying emails that hurt your brand
— Writing instructional emails only
— Writing big, bloated, unfocused emails
— Procrastinating because you aren't sure how to do this right

I love it when an deadline becomes a forcing function to finish something you've always meant to do. You get your best work in, but also have to cut yourself off so you don't tinker with it forever.
Years of developing rewards for referral programs, tons brain cycles, weeks of behind the scenes work reaching a boiling point at 11AM (EST) with the live webinar:

- having a live Q&A after
See the reply for the link to register. (... and yes, if you can't attend live we'll be sharing the recording AND slides for those that register)
Also a big thanks 🙏 to my team for subbing in for me as the moderator. I caught a kid cold over the last few days and I'm in the "I sound worse than I feel" stage.
I'll still be there for the presentation, so hope to see you there too!
Shoutout to the Referral Rock product team (devs, design, and QA).
I'm so thankful to have a great team with better skills than me taking our product to the next level vs letting customers suffer through my designs.
Take a look at our new admin navigation menu + lots of style touch ups to our legacy pages just released today!
Every page feels so much better and modern.
It's amazing how much of a difference a few colors and well thought out design elements can do.
Plus we added a really nice new "quick actions" button with the most frequently used actions.
We have plenty of more UI and UX updates for our admin interface rolling out through the summer.
Stay tuned!
I didn't start a dating app, but I did a "match maker" coding project (pre-internet) in high school and used it for our class fundraiser
But I've also build a notes app... so there's the other right of passage 🤡
Biggest issue I have with Twitter/X is how much the notifications system went to crap
I've made tons of friends here in the past...
Now I question if they see replies or get DMs
Thanks to all who chimed in about recent audio issues with the @searching4saas podcast
With everyone's help we fixed the last 2 recordings.
For the podcast nerds it was an issue with this sequence of events:
1. Recording with Riverside video on
2. Josh using incognito (because of past browser plugin issues with audio sync)
3. After minute 23ish hitting browser buffer point
4. Source video had no audio syncing issues in Riverside
5. Exported audio out of riverside (gave us the audio sync issue where Josh awkwardly talking over people)
Was able to fix this quickly by re-exporting from riverside with video, then using audacity to strip out audio into an MP3 instead.
Shout out to @ramykhuffash @itsjustamar @natebosscher @jmckinven to make this better for our listeners!
It may be cached on some services, but should get fixed when they hopefully resync
