There is little evidence that Ireland 'has significantly reduced corruption' since 2012. In fact, most of the effort placed in reducing it happened in the late '90s. We're a scandal away from sliding right back down the index.

Ireland is the 12th least corrupt country in the world. 🇮🇪🎉 Transparency International find corruption is worsening globally. Ireland, however, is among the nations that significantly reduced corruption since 2012. Something to be celebrated but never taken for granted. #CPI2025

Good piece - worth adding that privacy laws aren't the reason we can't access information on companies that are used to launder money in Ireland. It's the misinterpretation and abuse of those same laws that are the problem. #WeakLinks #UnitedAgainstCorruption

The normalisation of Putinists in the UK (Reform), France (Le Pen), and Germany (AfD) is one of the underreported stories of our time. Supporting Putin, and their rejection of the energy transition away from fossil fuels - which, again, supports Putin’s primary revenue stream - is the dangerous agenda they all share.
