Xavier worthy plays one of his best games this season and chiefs fans are MAD at him bc he didn’t get 5 more yards at the end of the half. Oh by the way our kicker made the FG. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I said this immediately while watching the broadcast angle and now that Mitch has shared the All-22 view, this is even worse.
There’s at least 10 more yards here. Yes I know there were 12 seconds left and he wants to get out of bounds but he needs to have a better internal clock than this. He had at least 4-5 more seconds to take those extra yards.
It obviously didn’t wind up mattering in this game but it could very well be a backbreaking mistake against a good team or in the playoffs. Butker is a serious liability now so the contrast between a 45 yarder and a 55 yarder is a world of difference.
Can’t believe this was real.

Something that I find funny is that the Royals organization is looked at as such a joke across common baseball fans that clips from their ONLY truly successful title run involve positive moments from the teams they BEAT.

Worthy is getting the separation, especially against CB1s. Only 1 drop off of 22 targets this year. Would like to see him get a couple in stride past the LOS since he hasn’t had the opportunity’s yet due to Thortons ability to bully bad corners 1v1 on verts
Chiefs have scored 88 points in 3 games and their biggest complaint is a 28th overall pick chosen to be a WR2-WR3 (who is now the WR1 bc he is the only WR on the chiefs capable of beating a teams CB1 1v1) having two bad games and one as the ‘love of the game’ route runner.

Alec Zumwalt out as Royals hitting coach, reassigned within the organization, sources tell @TheAthletic. He will remain senior director of hitting performance, the job he had before joining the big-league staff in May 2022.
My real question is if worthy is so garbage that must mean Rice and Thornton are beating the top defenders on the defense every week right? Since both of them are the higher priority for the defense to pay attention to. Or are teams too stupid and shift their focus to worthy?

Worthy has had two mediocre-bad games. No question. But receiving a ball with more zip than game reps is a real thing as a receiver. Chiefs fans are too arrogant and spoiled to understand that. Hence why worthy is being treated like Sky Moore.
