I get quite a few trolls who try to call me out for supposedly perpetrating I’m Jim Nance. The reality is a lot people can’t spell Jim Nantz and he doesn’t have a twitter account. So after a few years of getting tagged by literally thousands of people anytime he’s on the air I decided to have some fun with it. I was recently able to get a pic with him. I pointed out to him that he doesn’t have a twitter account and that I’ve been working for free upholding our namesake. He thought it was hilarious and let me take the pic at this last years Final Four (see profile pic). He was such a nice guy and I was grateful to finally meet him.
Like any artists, they make art about whatever THEY choose. There’s a good lesson in there for other artists. Why split your fame base by pushing your political views?
Metallica frontman James Hetfield criticized entertainers who use concerts to promote political messages during the band's performance at the Sphere in Las Vegas on October 10.
Addressing the audience, Hetfield said Metallica was not there to influence fans with political agendas but to help them escape the outside world through “love, energy and heavy music.”
His remarks came weeks after rapper Macklemore was removed from Ed Sheeran's US tour following his onstage “Free Palestine” speech in support of Palestinians in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.
Although Hetfield did not name Macklemore or any other artist, his comments have drawn attention over musicians using their platforms to address political issues.

The prior 20% tariff + 10% sales tax scenario leaves roughly $0.8-1T of the ~$2T deficit.
A 25% across-the-board tariff (net ~$300-400B) plus 15% sales tax excluding food (net ~$1.2-1.8T) could eliminate the full deficit and yield $200-500B surplus for debt paydown. Expect higher prices (5-8%), 1-2% GDP drag, and larger offsets to other revenues.
