Today I had more updates from my agents than time to review all of them.

How am I supposed to be alone with my thoughts when my agents are idle?

Cursor is now part of @SpaceX. Today, we have officially closed our acquisition. We will join the @spacexai team to help make Grok the world's most useful AI and improve Grok Build, Grok Bot, Grok API, Cursor, and more. SpaceX has built some of the most inspiring and impressive technology in the world, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to become part of such a special company. Onwards.

You're overestimating how well you understand where Software Engineering is heading. Everyone is. Even OpenAI and Anthropic are figuring it out by failing. Here's what I've learned crossing that transition at Delphi. Harness Engineering 101 👇

We live in an AI era where text changes eq BREAKING NEWS
🚨 BREAKING: Claude Code v2.1.190 introduces several string changes that hint at preparations for a Fable 5 return, with it being permanently included in subscriptions with weekly usage. The string "You've used your Fable 5 usage for this week" has been added, and "purchased separately from your plan" has been removed

What is an AI Skill? It's just a folder w/ instructions, scripts, references, code, & assets. Your agent reads those descriptions and loads only the relevant skill into context so you don't have to continually repeat instructions. And it's a game-changer for leaders.
13
OpenAI, Microsoft, Google, & at least 25 other products had shipped compatible implementations. You can write a skill once, & it works across all these different tools without modification. This is highly unusual because most AI customization is locked to a single platform.
12
Every other post right now is about some new AI model that just dropped. It's always something bigger & better. But the model isn't the hard part anymore. It's everything around it - like memory. And right now, SKILLS is creating a massive shift in how we handle that memory.
7
Marketplaces are forming. People are packaging skills as downloadable files for code review, security audits, & deployment workflows. This is what AI infrastructure looks like now. Your memory, your skills, your rules. These are the things that compound.

THIS. IS. THE. TRAP. You spend on day instructing ChatGPT or Claude on your brand, tone, and process. The next morning you come back and it's forgotten it all. It's a genius with amnesia. But Skills has entered the chat and it's changing everything.

Cute messaging had a good run. The aesthetic stage of IG. Bios that sound really cool but tell you nothing. It worked when a human was able to read tone, & fill gaps. AI takes a clear approach. & the brands / people who win are the ones who can be understood fast.

🚨 A lot of smart people are going to get stuck this year. They will use AI to produce more content, more offers, more angles… Without ever deciding what they actually want to be known for. And AI will happily help them scale the confusion. That’s the real trap. 🪤

I realized something recently... By talking to too many people, I'm trying to preserve optionality. & optionality feels smart right up until your message gets soft. You're writing for the founder, creator, CMO, etc. All true. But truth w/o priority is still confusing.
5
What I keep coming back to is this: AI rewards clarity. It's becoming the layer between you and the buyer. If your message is vague, broad, or trying too hard to sound clever, that layer will bury you. And the market is starting to do the same.
5
If you are talking to too many people, you are probably landing cleanly for none of them. This has always been true. But now… AI is exposing that faster than a human ever would. A human might give you the benefit of the doubt. An AI system will not.

This is where I find that a lot of founders stumble. They celebrate top-of-funnel conversion & ignore what happens 60 or 90 days later. What REALLY matters is whether the user who says yes is actually the kind of user your business wants.
5
The offers that seem to make the most sense right now are simple and clean: 1️⃣ Fixed-fee deliverables for clearly defined work 2️⃣ VIP day or time-block offers where the client buys focused access and output 3️⃣ Outcome-based pricing where the fee ties to a real business result
7
Hourly billing is starting to rot from the inside in AI-assisted work. If you're billing by the hour, you get paid substantially less for the same or better results. READ THAT AGAIN. That's not a very good incentive, is it?
7
Free attracts the wrong person. Every time. AI makes us want to offer more than we know we need to. & that silently wrecks our positioning as providers. So naturally, paying by the hour (or at least how we used to) has become a broken incentive.
