Cody Thomas Harrell, 28, of Savage has been sentenced, kind of, after being convicted of possessing child sexual assault material (CSAM).
The criminal complaint notes that Harrell was working at the time of the investigation at Redtail Ridge Elementary School in Savage.
Harrell was initially charged with 6 counts of possessing CSAM. During a search of electronic devices, investigators found multiple videos and images depicting young male children engaged in sexual acts with adult men; some of the children appeared to be pre-school age.
Under the terms of a plea deal offered by Scott County prosecutor Michael Martin Hayek, Harrell pled guilty to three counts.
His prison sentences of 30, 36, and 24 months on the three counts were stayed this week by Judge Paula D. Vraa. Harrell was instead sentenced to 120 days in the workhouse and 5 years of probation.

We’re in a hold behind the stage right now. Staff are going out to reset the head table.
POTUS never left and is down the hall from me. He wants the show to go on.
We’re told by his detail someone tried to get through the mags with a gun. The counter assault team did their job (unclear what that means) and the subject is now offsite.
POTUS was evacuated to a hold - the rest of us from the head table are down the hall from him. Secret service had to determine if there were any other threats, we are being told there are no threats.
The building is NOT being evacuated.
We are waiting for staff to reset head table to resume the program.

NEW — Several members on the House GOP call suggested that the House not pass the senates DHS bill until reconciliation is in process/done/close to done.
That would mean waiting potentially weeks or months for the DHS bill to pass.
The leadership thinks this move is a possibility. Although it’s not yet clear how long reconciliation will take and whether the White House is ok with this strategy.
