The new 2025 Dietary Guidelines Advisory Report found that:
-73% of U.S. adults aged 20 and older are overweight or obese
-38% of youth aged 12-19 are prediabetic.
This is alarming. When I graduated med school, teen prediabetes was nonexistent.

The USDA Nutrition Guidelines Committee previewed their new guidance today on an internal zoom.
A CORE principle is “REDUCING focus on chronic disease reduction.”
Committee members are paid by Novo Nordisk, Eli Lilly, Abbott, and Mars.
This must be disbanded.
