Very happy to share my new OA article published in the JBSP (@BritishPhen)! This introduction to engaged phenomenology explores how phenomenologists can more explicitly and critically consider the generative conditions and implications of their research. 📚tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.…

We've been thinking about what meaningful commitment to collective voice in PPI looks like. Very fortunate to have worked with this group.
Published in association with The Beryl Institute, Volume 10, Issue 1 includes 17 articles representing commentaries, personal narratives, research studies and case studies and covers a selection of topics focused on improving PX.

Another strong turnout for @Bristol_UCU as staff return to picket lines on another day of strike action.

Inspired as always by amazing students and colleagues at @PhilosophyUWE -- today, making sense of the strike in solidarity together at our first teach-out of 2023.
Great to meet fellow strikers from @UCUatUWE on the picket this morning too.

Excited and anxious 😅 Will be giving uptake to @jessstanier's Engaged Phenomenology and offer some methodological reflections, trying to open up a new line of interdisciplinary research for PP at the intersection with narratives and linguistics (all in 20mins of course 😱)

The future of Phenomenology is Woman 😁
Lovely evening in Exeter after a fantastic conference day @BritishPhen with @jessstanier @miglio_nicole @jelliedsours & Lucienne Spencer. Finally meeting everyone in the flesh 😊!!

Excellent talk today from @jessstanier & @HGEilenberger, articulating an affective, embodied, intersubjective and ethically-loaded phenomenology of the phenomenological interview as it is lived through by the researcher 🤩
My hope is that the paper will offer a bit of citational orientation to those interested in taking an engaged approach. 'Engaged phenomenology' was the @BritishPhen conference theme in 2020, and it returns this year! We're really looking forward to hosting at @wcceh for 2022.
Shout-out to @RRitunnano who won the 2021 Wolfe Mays Essay Prize, which was themed around engaged phenomenology, for her paper on hermeneutical injustice! Many thanks also to @PostEurope for supporting my paper to publication. ✨

"Your concept gives me the words to articulate my experience." For a philosopher, there can hardly be a greater compliment. Looking back at my contribution to #futuresahead2022, I'm filled with gratitude to my partner in crime @jessstanier and the conference organisers @CmhbLiu.
