i think everyone should experience working at a startup or with a small group at least once in their life
even better if it's with friends
there's nothing like small group energy with the right people
tesla began accepting deposits for the roadster in november 2017
if you put that $250k into $TSLA instead, it'd be worth over $4m today
so yeah the car better be able to fucking fly

This is super impressive and clever engagement from @HappenstanceAI. I wonder how they did it.
The only place I shared this is on twitter. I doubt someone manually went through it, found a 2-month-old tweet and drafted this?
Clever. Clever. Clever.
i promise you using the prompt "find me founders in new york who are building absurdly weird businesses" will get you hilariously bad results
unless you’re using happenstance.ai, in which case it’ll give you 14 people you’ll actually want to meet
@andruyeung knows ball
Strongly held belief: New York has the best talent pool in the world.
Some of you are thinking, "Over San Francisco? You're crazy."
Realized this after hosting hundreds of events in NYC and spending the last year flying to SF monthly to host dinners.
There's a massive difference between the talent in SF and New York.
In SF, everyone seems to work in tech. Walk into one room and you're probably two degrees away from almost anyone you want to meet.
Even your Uber driver might try to network with you (true story).
NYC is different. We have incredible talent across tech, finance, media, art, music, fashion, and dozens of other industries.
At almost every dinner I host, I meet someone who's built something remarkable I've never heard of.
The problem? These people are incredibly hard to find because their networks rarely overlap.
So we brute force it. People attend multiple events a day, hoping to meet the right people. I call this circuit networking.
But AI is changing that.
I can now organize my SF dinners from NYC with @HappenstanceAI
I connect my accounts, describe exactly who I want in the room, and it searches my network and my friends' networks to find people I'd forgotten about or never knew existed.
Imagine doing that across NYC's entire talent pool.
Which is why I'd bet on New York for the next ten years.
SF has made its talent easy to find. AI could do the same for New York.
a surprising amount of human progress depends on the right people finding each other at the right time
nobel laureates katalin karikó and drew weissman met while arguing over a photocopier
@HappenstanceAI exists to make those accidents happen on purpose
networking events leave the most important part up to chance: actually meeting the people you need to meet
@HappenstanceAI makes it intentional
at sip & scale's fortune cookie mixer in nyc this friday, the whole room's network will be searchable
Sip & Scale is hosting a fortune cookie mixer for VCs and students at @betaworks' downtown office in NYC this Friday!
Every attendee joins a group on Happenstance, so you can search each other's networks and find who you need, long after the night ends.

i think my ceo is secretly listening to all my meetings
Finish a @meetgranola meeting and @HappenstanceAI surfaces who in your network you should connect them with.
Less friction between intending to help and actually doing it, even on back-to-back meeting days :)
P.S. Thank you to @AkashBajwa96 for the (intro) assist 🙏🏽

Let your meetings start working your network for you
i threw a @HappenstanceAI event with kiersten & @vestucla a few months ago
they’re great
if you’re young, smart, interested in tech, and in town for la tech week, you should rsvp
For LA @Techweek_ , @vestucla is hosting a jazz + matcha bar with @ParetoHoldings and @rainfall for students, VCs, and founders on October 16th.
Traditional networking events suck, come enjoy a Yinji Matcha & Jazz by UCLA's Sumting Blue with founders, builders, creatives, and investors.
We're looking for 5 startups to demo their product for the room. If that sounds like you, apply with link below or on our website.
Spots are limited, RSVP at the link below.
happenstance is what linkedin should be
Just went live with 100+ job seekers and ended the call telling them to connect with me on @HappenstanceAI. Happenstance is what LinkedIn SHOULD be. Easy to search for references and intros that I can make to help candidates out. Keep it up @alex_teichman 👏
i don't trust people who say they have a favorite color so definitively
like how is it possible to judge a color by itself without specifying what it's for or what material it's on or if there's texture or what the lighting is
someone built a website recording every time Bitcoin is declared "dead" in the media
it has 475 data points
if you invested $100 into Bitcoin every time you'd have $83,368,450
