Now, I don't subscribe to the idea that there was something called the "civil rights era." Black people always fought for equality. And how did they do it? By doing the same thing OVER AND OVER until they got different results.

QOTSA stole the show. 💕
Jer Lance@jer_27 May 2023
I finished off day 2 of #SonicTemple with Chevelle, Knocked Loose, Queens of the Stone Age, and Avenged Sevenfold. All of today's were pretty great, but QotSA and Badflower were my top picks for the day. #xp

Georgia becomes the 4th state to allow digital IDs in the Wallet app on iPhone!
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
While it is good advice to not allow police to handle your unlocked devices, this is not how this feature works: support.apple.com/en-us/HT213046 "…you don’t need to unlock, show, or hand over your device. If your device is locked when you present your ID, it stays locked after you present your ID."

Did you know if you hold an ermine up to your ear, you can hear what it’s like to be attacked by an ermine?

i wouldnt do it. if you WANT my advice, id say you shouldnt either. we all share this timeline and it is not job of trans people and allies to shield you from the the pain you cause them. nobody else is here to protect you from the consequences of your choices. thats the price.

heres thing about buying video game from loud anti-trans mouthpiece. you CAN do that if you want, technically speaking, but other buds CAN ALSO THEN point out you are not being their ally. the real price of your game is: $70 plus the respect of your buds. thats your call to carry

truly hope that nobody writes a twitter API library using the official client’s API keys, as that would almost certainly violate their terms of service. these are the keys that they would want to avoid using: gist.github.com/shobotch/516…

Will ChatGPT make developers 10x faster? Yes, if they know what it wrote and understand it. Otherwise it will make the code wrong, 10x faster.

I’d just like everyone to know that @united has lost track of my bag and is lying about it. My apple AirTag shows that it has been sitting in a residential apartment complex for over a day. Out back by the dumpsters, I have found other emptied United Airlines bags.

At better tech companies, meritocracy is a given, including pointing out incorrect arguments your boss made *with facts*. And yes, I’ve seen this happen in public enough settings (eg all hands). A leader wanting to have a culture of meritocracy would handle this different.
