Here’s a tip for songwriters; Choose chords that portray the emotion of the song.
A song’s emotion could be happy, sad, exciting, frustrated, depressed, angry, etc.
You can’t be writing a song for celebration, for instance, and use sad chords. That just doesn’t fit..

Ask yourself, “what’s the emotion of this song I’m writing”? Then choose chords that portray that kind of emotion.
Usually, as musician, your musical instinct is enough for you to know the type of chords that don’t fit the message of your song. But there are also resources...
resources (even on the internet) to help you if you need some help. Just ensure you choose chords that fit.

Every time LinkedIn notifies me that some industry professional that I follow/admire checked my profile, I go straight to check how my profile is looking.
Sounds funny, but there's this subtle pressure we musicians have to make a good first impression.
