Rwanda suffering from its first outbreak of Marburg virus disease - a virus related to Ebola.
Great to see the strong public health response and clear communications from @RwandaHealth
There are potential vaccines and treatments for Marburg but they have not yet been tested.
People can continue with their daily activities - there is no ban on any activity as part of the Marburg prevention measures. People should not panic as we have identified all the hotspots of the disease and are taking appropriate action.
