I know it's a meme but this hits hard. At dozens of public meetings, worried Houstonians pour their hearts out and beg TCEQ for protection, just to see permits rubber-stamped based on paperwork and promises. We deserve better. Help us fight for clean air at @airallianceHOU
TCEQ makes decisions about things like air permits, pollution, and environmental enforcement. The commission matters to our work, and to the communities living near polluting facilities. Considering how many permits get rubber stamped and approved, it’s a nah from us 🙂‍↔️

What an honor for @airallianceHOU to be a community air monitoring partner for the 2026 World Cup in Houston. Thanks to their Sustainability Committee, there's now a permanent monitor network along the Columbia Tap Trail. Check it out here: airalliancehouston.org/air-m…
The World Cup may be over, but our work continues. The air quality monitors installed during FIFA World Cup 2026 are still hard at work, tracking air pollution and helping Houston communities turn data into action for cleaner air. S/O to Environmental Defense Fund for 📽️

The @nrgenergy W.A. Parish plant is struggling to stay running. Coal = outdated, expensive, dirty. The solution? Texas-made clean energy tech that's ALREADY HERE! Sign the petition to shut this coal polluter down! tinyurl.com/waparishpetition Photo by Al Branden

The team at @airallianceHOU was thrilled to participate in this study to ensure that Houston-area samples were included.
🍚 🌾 👶 25 YEARS. ZERO PROGRESS. The FDA has known about arsenic in rice for a quarter of a century — and yet, still no limits. No meaningful action. Toxic metals don't belong on our plates. It's time for change. @HBBForg - hbbf.org/report/arsenic-in-r…

We're less protected from air pollution today. The CRA allows virtually unlimited releases of cancer-causing chemicals. Clean air should be universally protected, not ignored for the benefit of those who pollute it. @airallianceHOU npr.org/2025/05/22/nx-s1-540…

Houston is: 👉7th most polluted city for Ozone. 👉8th most polluted city for annual Particulate Matter. Much worse than last year. In 2024, we were: 📉10th most polluted for Ozone. 📊16th most polluted city for annual PM. All BEFORE the EPA rollbacks begin.
