Today we passed my House Bill 5276, which statutorily establishes an Office of Mental Health and Prevention within the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency. This agency is incredibly important and needed to provide support for more than 530,000 military veterans and their families.

Big effort underway this weekend to save paid family leave in the BBB bill. Manchin is opposed, so will likely fail. But 4 Republican women senators have shown interest in the idea and if it is put in a stand-alone reconciliation bill early next year, some form of it could pass.
