The new @_DeepPurple album is called =1 and has this intriguing equation within the album. Let's break it down (including my terrible handwriting) ... (1/n)

I made a desktop app for annotating and grading HTML files written in R Markdown/Quarto github.com/mivalek/gradr_des… (scroll down for demo) Would love feedback from #rstats teachers! Would *you* use it for marking? @jenaesthesia @LisaDeBruine @tw_booth @emilynordmann @ProfAndyField

My paper on the relationship between asexuality and feelings of detachment from gender just won the 2023 Graduate Student Paper award from @socwomen-South! I’m thrilled to see this work recognized by a feminist organization. A quick summary of the paper:

Once on the London to Brighton train, a man across from me was ordering flowers for his partner. Spelled out his name, her name, address, email, card info at full volume. Found him in about 10 seconds on LinkedIn, he was an exec at a huge (household name) corporation 🙄
Crikey lady those papers you have just laid across the train table are mighty confidential 🤫
