The latest AI wave is the first time we’ve seen a real “innovator’s dilemma” moment in 15 years. Incumbents get to grapple with technology that may not be ready for all uses, while startups can begin where the tech is “good enough” and iterate over time. The race is on.
Bummed to see a veteran Innova athlete and super talent like Anthony Barela leave Team Innova, but wish him all the best in the future.

Thank you @NPR for sharing the heartwarming stories of Cokie Roberts this week. She was an engaging storyteller during the golden years of network news. Us kids of the 70s and 80s were fortunate to have her doing her thing.... our smart big sister in front of the camera.
I learn from the best.

This is such an incredible honor. I’m so grateful to all the @LivingstonAward folks for selecting this @atavist piece I wrote as one of this year’s winners. And am in such good company with @KateLouiseWells @lzsmitty & @daveyalba; their winning work was excellent!
Congratulations to 2019 winner for National Reporting @chrisoutcalt of @atavist for his riveting narrative of a prison murder committed under the gaze of security cameras, a rookie FBI agent and the inner workings of the Mexican Mafia #WallaceHouse wallacehouse.umich.edu/2019-…

I often ask myself what is the purpose of our lives and I conclude that life's purpose is to be happy. We have no guarantee what will happen in the future, but we live in hope. That's what keeps us going.
