New Screaming in the Cloud episode! Corey Quinn and our CEO @jedberg "chat about Jeremy's "build for three" rule, a plan for scale without going crazy, why he set Reddit's servers to Arizona time to dodge daylight saving time, and how DBOS makes your app as tough as your data."

One of the greatest joys of my job as CEO of @DBOS_Inc is working with such an amazing engineering team. Once again the team managed to deliver great code, early. If you need durable or stateful serverless compute, and you use Typescript and/or NextJS, check it out!
Want to make your TypeScript app resilient to any failure?
Excited to announce the release of DBOS TypeScript v2.0! With this release, you can effortlessly add durable execution to any TypeScript app, whether you're using Next.js, Express, or other popular frameworks.
Durable execution helps solve many common problems, like:
1⃣Orchestrating long-running or business-critical workflows;
2⃣Running reliable background jobs with no timeouts;
3⃣Running a fault-tolerant distributed task queue;
4⃣Orchestrating AI agents, or anything that connects to an unreliable or non-deterministic API.
What I love the most about DBOS is that it does this all in a lightweight library that's entirely backed by Postgres. All you need to do to use DBOS is npm install
and connect it to Postgres -- there are no other dependencies you need to manage, no separate workflow servers.
Try it out and let us know how DBOS is powering your apps! Link below...

Building startups isn’t all glamour, it’s grit. In this episode of @thisdotlabs, @jedberg unpacks the myth of 'overnight success,' share strategies for tackling slow growth, and explore what keeps founders motivated through the grind. 🧵
Startups aren't built overnight—they're often a long, slow grind.
Loved having my friend @jedberg back on the podcast to talk about navigating the slog, selling your vision, and the value of celebrating small wins.
Check it out!👇
Our engineering team keeps delivering! This was a partnership I started working on in my first week, and it’s great to see it live! Proud of our team and their hard work to make this happen!
The @DBOS_Inc team has released a Supabase integration so that you can use your Postgres database as a durable workflow engine

"What is the secret to growing a DevTools business?"
There is no secret. It's a lot of little things that add up over time. Like it or not, Github stars is one of them. If you have a Github account, can you give me a star? And tell your friends too! github.com/dbos-inc/dbos-tra…

Had a great time last night at the #OSS4AI meetup at GitHub HQ -- met some brilliant devs focused on AI tools and taking AI to production.
I also showcased Durable Swarm, diving into how DBOS enhances reliability and observability for AI agents. Even if the program crashes, DBOS picks up from the last completed step, so no progress is lost. Plus, DBOS exports OpenTelemetry traces, making it easier to monitor agents' behavior and performance.
DBOS Transact is a lightweight, durable execution library (available in Python and TypeScript) that integrates seamlessly with any AI framework. Check out the demo code from my presentation: github.com/dbos-inc/durable-…
Give it a try -- I’d love to hear your feedback!
Big thanks to @yujian_tang for organizing this great event and building an awesome community. Thanks Aaishika for the photos!

🚀 Want to build and deploy an interactive AI app to the cloud in just 9 lines of code? Check out the new OpenAI quickstart guide I wrote.
In this tutorial, you'll use @llama_index to create a Q&A engine, @FastAPI to serve it over HTTP, and @DBOS_Inc to deploy it serverlessly to the cloud.
It's based on LlamaIndex’s 5-line starter, with just 4 extra lines to make it cloud-ready. Simple, fast, and ready to scale!
Give it a try and let me know what you think 😊
It's always awesome when you get external validation for what you are building. Thanks @sap1ens for the kind words about @DBOS_Inc !

Introducing Paradigm – a reimagined workspace with AI at its core.
Centered around the primitive of a spreadsheet, Paradigm puts swarms of intelligent agents at your fingertips.
The real power of Paradigm comes with scale: imagine having tens of thousands of interns working for you in parallel.
Paradigm is 1000x faster than manual data collection, completing an average of 500 cells per minute.
Check out Paradigm in action below.

Want to make your Node.js installs 10x faster?
We've been experimenting with using the @bunjavascript package manager as a (near) drop-in replacement for npm in DBOS Cloud and have been seeing huge performance improvements. npm install used to be the slowest step in our app deployment process and now it runs in a couple seconds.

. @OpenAI 's ChatGPT just made my marriage better. My wife asked me to do some complicated data manipulation for her. It would have taken me about 40 minutes to write the python to do it and test. Asked ChatGPT to write it for me - task was done in five minutes. Now I'm a hero
