It's #CabFrancDay! This underappreciated red grape variety doesn't get the respect as Cabernet Sauvignon but is no less a distinctive, delicious wine. We're going to enjoy the @hugebearwines Cabernet Franc, grown in Sonoma, sold in the tasting room in Calistoga, Napa Valley.

Did you know Cabernet Franc (along with Sauvignon Blanc) is the parent of Cabernet Sauvignon? That's one of many reasons to celebrate #CabFrancDay. Not terribly familiar with it? Today's the perfect day to choose this food friendly wine for red meats, duck, swordfish or salmon.
