RIP, Dolly!
Listening to Tennessee Homesick Blues, and thinking that another incredible thing about Dolly Parton is that so many stars denigrate the place and the people that they come from once they become big. Plenty of country stars have done it too.
But not only did Dolly never do this, she never allowed interviewers like Barbara Walters to do it either. She respected herself and she respected the community that created her and gave it gratitude and honor.
That is an unbelievably rare thing in entertainment today.
