A husband and wife with four kids will spend $3-4,000 and more per month on medical insurance now, and it buys nothing but the right to pay more when you actually use it. This is an outrage. More outrageous, there is hardly any political talk about this fixing this problem even though the fix is readily at hand. Unsustainable.

I'm in line to vote for Peggy Flanagan for U.S. Senate in Minnesota! Wearing a hijab in solidarity. ✊
Let's face it. Minnesota hasn't been welcoming enough to Somalis.
Only 84% of Somali Minnesotans receive government assistance? What about the other 16%?
Peggy supports making undocumented immigrants U.S. citizens and expanding welfare programs. C'mon, surely Minnesota taxpayers can afford to cough up a little more.
GET OUT AND VOTE, MINNESOTA.

Thomas Massie just opened up about his plans for 2027.
“I have 10 ideas in my head … ”
“Rather than running for another office, I might take my own advice and set up some kind of organization that tries to get the clowns in DC to do the right thing.”
“I like inventing.”
“I like farming.”
“I don’t know what I’m going to do next.”
“I want to invent a bunch of tools for small farmers that makes it easier to farm and easier to do regenerative farming.”
“I’ve already built a self-propelled chicken tractor, like a Roomba with chickens in it.”
“It’s been running on my farm for several years while I go to DC.”
“It runs on capacitors, so I call it the clucks capacitor.”
“We just started seven piglets.”
“We’re going to try to do pasture-raised pigs on acorns in the hills of Kentucky in addition to our beef.”

There's no good way to spin this, what a disaster.

Is your vote owned by the major parties or do you have autonomy over it?
Sounds like a silly question, doesn’t it? Yet once you announce to people trapped in the Red vs Blue world of politics that you are supporting a third-party candidate, your vote is no longer perceived as a choice. It’s either team loyalty or betrayal. A dichotomy.
When did candidates lay claim to ownership of your vote? I thought they had to earn it.
More and more voters are starting to get frustrated with the system and many are going to abstain from voting this cycle. They believe there’s a lack of good options. The system constantly produces bad choices.
The Red vs Blue Team Players in frustration of their poor performing team, turn to shaming free thinking individuals, which is the most ridiculous strategy of winning votes. That only turns people further away. Make a case for your candidate – win the support.
I hear people say, “if you agree with someone 80% of the time, that’s good enough.” But what if there’s a candidate who you agree with 100% of the time? Imagine a scenario where you vote for someone you actually, truly believe in?!
If that candidate is in a third party, Red vs Blue Team Players will say “that person is a throwaway vote.” But it’s not. Minnesota’s electoral system awards the victory to the candidate who receives the most votes. Have we forgotten that Jesse Ventura won statewide in Minnesota? Give candidates a chance to get momentum before writing them off.
It’s also not a throwaway vote, because neither of the major party candidates have earned the support – they don’t have an ownership claim to it. With the lack of a third party candidate, many of us will just abstain in that race.
Here’s the hard truth…the Red vs Blue Team system is what is killing our state and country. If you keep thinking this way every two years, the system will NEVER change. Trust me – this will keep happening every two years until a large faction of us refuse to play the losing game.
There are a lot of reasons why people choose to vote for certain candidates. I don’t think there’s one right answer. However, how much are you willing to abandon your principles? For me, there are some clear line-in-the-sand issues I will not compromise on. If I did, I would not deserve to expect victory on those issues in the future.
Vote your conscience. Vote for what you believe in. It’s your vote, not anyone else’s vote. And if you want my vote, make a better case on how to earn it.
I’ll give you a hint…I don’t want unnecessary wars that bankrupt our country; I’m opposed to deficit spending that adds to the $40 Trillion debt my children will have to pay; I want to see the entire Epstein files and I want arrests for those who participated in that demonic foreign intelligence operation; I believe life starts at conception and we must protect the unborn; and I want government out of our health care system so it can finally improve and costs will come down.
