Market corrections aren’t disasters—they’re discounts. When fear drives quality stocks to bargain prices, you’ve got one job: buy.

$TSLA testing the 200-day at $388. This could get ugly for bears, assuming a good earnings report.

ChatGPt is DUMB and it's not where the real money will be made.
What am I obsessed about in 2024? The Hard-to-make hardware and software, powering the AI revolution.
Read more below -->
Artificial intelligence is back in the news as the largest semiconductor companies in the world announce new silicon juiced with AI goodness.
Jensen Huang, chief executive at Nvidia (NVDA) and Lisa Su, chieftain of Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) are at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week where they are pitching impressive new hardware.
Hardware is the operative word.
AI, despite all of the hype about ChatGPT and Elon Musk’s robots, is still an infrastructure story.
The companies that build that infrastructure are the big winners. They are selling pickaxes and shovels in the AI goldrush. Is there gold in them thar hills? Probably. But that is not the point, or the investment play.
Getting this right is important.
It’s why I have been pounding the table to buy Nvidia (NVDA) Super Micro Computers (SMCI), Dell Technologies (DELL) Arista Networks (ANET), Broadcom (AVGO), and ARM Holdings (ARM). These companies are key partners in the buildout of the next generation data centers required to run AI at scale. There is no industrial-scale AI without these companies.
There are other companies on the periphery, and investors should stake claims there, too. Companies like ServiceNow (NOW) and Accenture (ACN) will be big winners as enterprises begin building out AI applications, however, this is down the road.
And industry-wide AI ecosystems will begin to develop.
I wrote months ago about Medtronic (MDT), one of the world’s largest medical instrument developers. The firm’s partnership with Nvidia to infuse device development with AI is a really big deal. It’s a vibrant new business that is flying completely under the radar.
Other industry-wide AI ecosystems include cybersecurity, industrial machinery, financial services. The key players are staking claims and dominating the buildout of key infrastructure.
Investors are focused on ChatGPT. This is dumb. It is certainly not where the real money is being made. In a tech gold rush, we have learned repeatedly since the start of the Internet build-out in the 1990s that you must focus on the shares of the dozen or so companies that stake out leadership positions in hard-to-make hardware and software.
Back in the 1990s the hotshots that built fortunes included EMC, Dell, Intel, Microsoft, AOL, Oracle, Cisco Systems and Qualcomm, just to name a few. Leaders lead. Stocks like current front-runners Nvidia, Broadcom and Arista will eventually fade and bet run over by new geniuses of the 2030s, but for now don’t overthink it.
