#OxidativeStress a likely culprit. Acute exposure to various antioxidants improved function, particularly a #mitochondria targeted antioxidant. Diminished #NitricOxide signaling likely involved. Increased Arginase 1&2 expression with GCR.

Subgroups exposed to 4-weeks hindlimb unloading to simulate weightlessness. Different, but interesting effects observed there as well. Possibly⬇️smooth muscle quality.
