There's a little utility app that I've been dreaming of for like a year but just wasn't important enough to take the time to build.
3.7 Sonnet MAX with Cursor on YOLO mode *basically* one shotted this app. 🤯
Just when I think my mind can't get any more blown....

Not sure if people are worried - in the panic zone yet - about their investments...
If so, I wrote a thing about (the true cost of) panic-selling.
Check it out.

AI coding is 70% planning, 30% implementation
Most developers jump straight into coding with AI, but without proper context, models make assumptions and mess up the project.
A structured approach is the key to getting reliable results.
That actually applies to every discipline. E.g. marketers or accounting. Which stuff makes your specialist heart sing vs. which things drive meaningful outcomes for the business? Sometimes they’re the one and the same, but often not.

New Windsurf is WILD actually.
With 'Wave 4' update of Windsurf, they added some problem solving features.
Now Windsurf = Cursor + Bolt/Lovable
Let me explain: ↓
My favorite quote of the day so far - "You can't eat EBITDA" 😆 That has the ring of something that lots of people have said, but I've never heard that one before. So true though.
Fun thing I just noticed: my most popular (RTs and hearts) Tweet ever--since I signed up in the mid 2000s--was in 2016. That was the year that I quit. There's a lesson in there somewhere...
Illustration of this fact: I have "started" four businesses this year. Only one of them makes money at this point. And by my most optimistic projections, it'll be many months yet before the others make any.
Startup life can be exhilarating and let's you bring your idea to life. But man...buying a business and just working on profit sounds nice 😅
My last business was so fun, I decided to do a bunch of them! I currently own 4, which I have started from scratch.
Starting multiple businesses from scratch at the same time was stupid. Definitely should not have done that.
However, I like the game of business. So now I'm thinking about buying some :-)
Something I used to really enjoy was live tweeting an event I was participating in or something like that. Is that still a thing? I'm almost 10 years out of the loop 😆
At any rate, I'm going to do it again today for old time's sake! I'm attending a @Codie_Sanchez webinar about buying businesses.
Another thing I did very wrong is stop being so open about what I was learning and what I didn't know.
That was insecurity at work.
The brand I threw away was BUILT on learning in public. How much more awesome would it be today if I had gone on a 10 year biz journey in public?
In 2016, I made a major mistake with my social accounts.
I was building a pretty solid personal brand, which had landed me my dream job. (Or rather, partnership - as an entrepreneur.)
But I blew it.
The point of the thread is this:
There's certainly nothing wrong with building a great business brand - and you should.
But a strong personal brand is hugely valuable, will only become more so, and you can't just BUY one of those like you can a business.
