I took a few days to think and plot my next move but wanted to let everyone know that after a combined 24 years, next Friday (Sept. 25) will be my last day at the @MiamiHerald I was one of the 30 employees laid off last week by McClatchy in the latest awful day for our industry..
The safety net has been pulled, the backup parachute will be gone as of Sept. 25. Andre is the ultimate swingman. When there was a spot that needed attention as a writer, editor (and podcaster), he has been there. Whatever comes next a team is better with Andre on it.
