One of life’s great mysteries is how on earth did Jason Wilcox end up as the highest ranking football executive at Manchester United on the back of seven months as DOF at championship side Southampton?

@RonnLennon How? Ratcliffe was totally smitten with the Man City project presumably.

I still think about this.

@Muppetiers Baffled by your claim that Carrick was planning to start the season with Cunha as the CF. It was going to be Mbeumo there until Amad was injured the day before the season started….

@Muppetiers Shock, horror. The moment Amad is back fit to play RW, Mbeumo is moved to CF…

Surely the Bucs haven’t lost a game like that before?

@gregauman Bucs being 2-9 in their last 11 games is even more wild when you consider they were 12-3 in their 15 regular season games before that…

@gregauman Just to expand on that 12-3 run: 16 of this year’s 22 starters were on that 2024 team so it’s not like there’s been a dramatic change in personnel that can explain this massive drop in performance.

@gregauman Curious if you think there will be any contract extensions done this week just before the start of the season like with Goedeke and McCollum last year?

@gregauman It happened!

Haaland’s stamina and natural fitness is such an underrated part of his game.

ICYMI: Baker Mayfield believes the Bucs have a bunch of “savages” whose mentality getting off the bus should be to “take somebody’s soul.”

The best signing of the Summer was Rodri to Barca and it’s not particularly close.

🚨 West Brom have approached #mufc over a potential move for Toby Collyer. #wba exploring permanent move for the 22-year-old midfielder. Collyer spent first half of 25/26 on loan at the Hawthorns but a calf injury cut his time at the club short. w/ @SkySportsLyall, @alihampsonsilk

I’m still mystified how so many in the fanbase rate Mazraoui.

3 games into preseason, and nothing Amorim’s system has showed me so far inspires confidence for the upcoming season. It’s early, so we’ll see, but we are neither denying opponents from generating chances, nor creating many of our own. Not a good sign…

@RonnLennon I’m a bit concerned about Maguire this season. Feel like it may be one year too far for him.

@gregauman Was thinking about the secondary and find it pretty incredible that the Bucs have had a completely homegrown group of starters (including Nickel CB) in each of the eight years that Bowles has been the defensive coordinator…
